First Early Look at Manaforge: Omega Raid DPS Log Charts – Here’s Who’s Winning

Starym's Avatar by Starym

It’s time for the Manaforge! Omega has opened, and we get to peek in early and see how the specs are doing. We already have a massively larger amount of logs than we did at this time in last week’s final Liberation of Undermine raid, with around ten thousand logs for the top Heroic specs and tens of thousands for Normal. Since exactly three guilds managed to kill only the first boss in Mythic, we won’t be peeking in there for now.

We’re going to be comparing Heroic Manaforge to last week’s Mythic LoU, so things might get a little messy, but it’ll still give us a solid view of the changes. Also, don’t forget, these stats are from 1 day of EU and 2 days of NA raiding, with not that many tier set bonuses yet.

For a look at which specs are expected to be on top later in the raid, after the tier sets and gear even out a little, here’s our Manaforge: Omega tier list.

Note: We are using normalized scores instead of raw DPS for the Warcraft Logs rankings. Normalized scores take into account the outlier boss fights where certain specs could stack massive DPS (due to the nature of the fight, whether it’s AoE spam or something else), which would then affect their overall score for the whole raid.

Heroic

Overall Damage 95th Percentile

It seems Affliction is indeed the belle of the ball, at least in these hyper-early stats. It’s far, far ahead of the competition in first place, same as it was in LoU last week. Elemental moves up a whole lot, as does the almost identical Assassination, with Demonology right behind them. Outlaw is the biggest winner in the top 10, coming in from the bottom half of the charts into 5th. Destruction makes a nice three Warlocks in the first 6 slots, as the spec is flying high right now. Shadow drops a little but is still doing good, as Arcane stays stable. The two top specs of Season 2 are still hanging on, barely staying in the top 10, with the Hunter in front. Feral barely misses the top 10 with Frost DK in tow.

We still have a Mage in the bottom 3, where Fire is joined by two plate wearers. Arms grabs the dead last spot as the most popular spec, Retribution, grabs the top bottom 3 slot.

Overall Damage All Percentiles

The Warlocks are doing even better in the generalist bracket, as Demonology snags 3rd from Assassination! The rest of the top 10 and bottom 3 is exactly the same as in the top percentiles, as Heroic seems to have the two charts much more similar than we’re used to from Mythic.

Boss Only Damage All Percentiles

Arcane is doing better in the boss damage charts, sitting in 6th, and we see old familiar faces like Feral and Unholy show up in the top 10.

Normal Overall Damage All Percentiles

The biggest change we see in normal is Arcane sitting in 3rd, as the spec thrives on shorter fights. Devastation is also quite a bit higher here, as perhaps Normal mode players didn’t get the memo it’s not the top spec anymore. Balance also makes an appearance in 8th, and we even have a rare Windwalker sighting in the final top 10 spot! The bottom 3 are the same as in Heroic, so condolences to the plate wearers and Fire.
