There’s always benefits to being there in person during a big announcement, and Midnight’s reveal was no different! Attendees at gamescom got to see an entirely different version of the Midnight cinematic. And we get to see it, courtesy of Kexman!
A Different Experience
The cinematic was adjusted and improved for an in-person experience, utilizing the space and close proximity of people watching. We see the events of the cinematic from Lor’themar and Liadrin’s perspective, which adds a whole lot of immersion to the proceedings.
The balcony looking down on the invading forces scene was one of the better ones in the original cinematic as well, but it’s even better here.
Reactions to the original cinematic were somewhat mixed. It’s undeniably epic, as everyone agrees, but we’ve seen that a lot in WoW so far. What did you think of the original? Or this new angle on the cinematic? Better or worse?
