Haranir Allied Race Revealed in Midnight — Classes, Zone & More

Staff's Avatar by Staff

The Midnight expansion reveal just dropped one of its biggest surprises: the Haranir, a long-rumored Allied race, are finally becoming playable in the second chapter of the Worldsoul Saga!

From Rootlands Rumor to Harandar Reality

If you recall the leaked map of War Within zones, it included a zone called Rootlands. However, that zone never made it to launch, leaving us wondering whether it was cut from the actual expansion.

With the Midnight reveal, we learned it got rebranded as Harandar, a living fungal jungle at the base of the World Trees, where all manners of life are derived from the plant matter that span this zone including fungal towers, moss bridges, and bioluminescent wildlife.

What can players find in the new zone?

  • A new delve called Den of Echoes where you’ll explore living murals and ancient myths.
  • The Blinding Vale dungeon where you’ll face facsimiles of Harandar’s most dangerous foes.

Meet the Haranir

The Haranir aren’t your average elves or trolls! They’re ancient hunters shaped by the roots of Azeroth itself, with glooming bioluminescent features and a culture that grows rather than builds.

How to Unlock the Haranir?

The Haranir will become available to players playing through Midnight’s main campaign.

Haranir Playable Classes

The Haranir can play all classes except for Death Knights, Demon Hunters, Paladins, and Evokers.

  • Druid
  • Hunter
  • Mage
  • Monk
  • Priest
  • Rogue
  • Shaman
  • Warlock
  • Warrior
