Heroic Final Boss and Mythic First Boss Down: Manaforge: Omega RWF Day 2

The race picked up some speed on day 2, and it wasn’t the EU guilds that did it! They did finally get to play, however, but it was all splits all the time, as you’d expect. We did have a brand new guild claim a World First, which is always great to see.

Dimensius the All-Too-Easy-On-Heroic-ing

While Liquid managed to pull the breaks before accidentally killing the final boss on Heroic, we had three Chinese guilds doing no such thing! While their home servers hadn’t gotten their weekly reset or the raid yet, they decided to play on NA servers and claim some firsts! BIGFLY were the first to take the oversized Voidwalker down and claimed the World First Heroic kill.

Two more NA guilds played by Chinese players, waiting for their servers followed suit, with blue shoe and Hero pub also finishing off Heroic. Cursebreaker Coalition grabbed the 4th kill, but we had to wait all the way to the 5th to get an actual video! It took quite a while as Nurfed only got the boss down later in the NA day.

The Top Guilds

Nope, nothing. Echo called it a very early night at 8:30 local time, while Method continued until their normal end time of midnight. They both ran many splits and not much else! Liquid also just farmed their splits, and none of the top guilds even took down Heroic Dimensius. Echo and Method are already back at it, but it’s unlikely they do anything but split today. Maybe Dimensius H gets a look. Maybe.

Liquid’s Max commented on when they might be heading into Mythic, saying it will definitely be earlier than last tier. So either Thursday or early Friday.

Mythic, Finally

While most of the day saw a couple of guilds take a few pokes at the first Mythic boss, nothing really came of it. Around the NA evening, as regular guild raid times arrived, so did the action! We saw quite a few guilds take their shot at Plexus Sentinel, with the stellar named goblin leaps in ur dms in the lead with a 56% best. You’d think that would be the exciting part, but no, as there was a far larger and much faster burst of excitement coming!

Once Consequence entered the raid everything changed. Their literal first ever pull on the boss was almost a kill, coming in at 2.7% with two tanks staying alive quite a bit for those last few fractions of a percent.

The very next pull was the kill, as you’d expect with such an insane burst of progress, as it was nearly perfect, with just one player dropping dead in the last 0.3% – and it was a Blood DK of all people!

Here’s the full kill pull:

And the raid composition for the kill:

This was the guild’s very first World First! The list of guilds that can claim that they got the hardest version of a boss down first in the world is not a long one, and seeing a new addition to it is always unequivocally awesome. The kill also meant we got to see some second boss action! Loom’ithar loomed ahead and Consequence poked him only a few times, getting him down to 60ish%.

We also almost got a World 2nd on the Sentinel, as Nurfed almost got the boss down to where Consequence had him on their first pull. They did manage to get the kill soon thereafter as well!

A Fine Day, Even Without the Top Guilds

So in the end, what looked to be an extremely boring day turned out pretty exciting! We still need to see when exactly the top guilds will venture into Mythic and whether a non-top-guild will manage to get one or two more World Firsts before they do. The main race itself hasn’t really started yet, but it’s always great to see new faces join the early kill list.

As always, you can follow the race along live with Raider.IO’s 24/7 live coverage!
