This Hidden Panther Mount Isn’t Just for Jewelcrafters in Patch 11.1.5

The Void-Crystal Panther is one of the new Patch 11.1.5 mounts you can pick up through Jewelcrafting, and it looks really cool. The good news is that you do not need to be a Jewelcrafter to get one. The bad news? You will need to run Horrific Visions and gather some very specific items first.

Here is how it works.

1. Kill Big Keech inside the Horrific Vision of Orgrimmar

To begin, make sure that Orgrimmar is the active Vision for the week.

Once inside, you also need to run the Vision with at least one mask enabled. Any mask works, but using the Faceless Mask of the Nemesis is a good choice; it adds elite spawns that drop sanity on kill and makes longer runs easier.

Then, head to the Valley of Honor. Big Keech is tucked away inside a small building at:
/way 72.4, 35.3
Use /tar Big Keech to find him faster

Killing Big Keech is required, even if you are not a Jewelcrafter:

• He drops the Void-Bound Orb of Mystery (used to craft the mount)
• He unlocks material drops for that character in future Vision runs

You only need to do this once per character.

2. Looting the Design (Jewelcrafters Only)

If you are a Jewelcrafter, Big Keech will also drop the Design: Void-Crystal Panther. You can loot it with just 1 point in JC, but you need 30 Jewelcrafting to learn it.

Even better: the materials start dropping right away, even before you learn it.

The design is soulbound, but all four mount materials are warbound, so they can be gathered and sent to a crafter (or used via work order).

3. Where to Find All the Mats

After killing Big Keech, you will be able to start collecting the materials needed to craft the mount. These can drop in the same run or in any future run, as long as a mask is active.

Here is what you need:

• Void-Bound Orb of Mystery
  Also drops from Big Keech (Orgrimmar vision).
• Unusual Gems
  Found in Valeera’s reward chest after defeating the Old Town boss in Stormwind.
  Requires at least one mask. Often missed.
• 20x Shadow Infused Onyx
  Dropped in reward chests at the end of the run (1 per area boss defeated).
• 4x Black Blood Infused Bar
  Found inside visions:
  • Valley of Wisdom in Orgrimmar (on the stone altar /way 45.04, 52.85)
  • Dwarven District in Stormwind
  • Only shows up if you are wearing a mask and have the Void-Bound Orb in your bags

You can do this across several runs and bank the items as you go. No time pressure.

Note: You must be wearing a mask, and in the case of the Bar, you must also have the Void-Bound Orb of Mystery in your inventory, or the items will not appear.

4. Craft It (or Send a Work Order)

Once you have everything, just head to your profession bench and make it (if you are a Jewelcrafter).

If you are not a JC, here is a quick recap of what to do:

• Run a masked Vision of Orgrimmar
• Kill Big Keech (get the Orb + unlock material drops)
• Collect the mats in that run or future runs
• Use the Work Order system to craft the mount with a Jewelcrafter

The Void-Crystal Panther might sound like a crafting-exclusive mount at first, but it is actually one of the more accessible new mounts in Patch 11.1.5, as long as you know where to look.
