Icy Veins is looking for news writers who would like to write news for the various games we cover!
The role is ideal for writers who actively play the games they cover and enjoy keeping up with the latest updates and changes.
What We Offer
The news writer role puts you directly inside an active editorial team, where you will work alongside experienced writers and continue developing your skills as a professional games writer. It’s an opportunity to learn, improve, and grow in a real publishing environment.
This is a paid position (with the possibility of full-time work, depending on your availability).
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who:
- Writes clear, fluent English at a very high level. You don’t need to be a native speaker, but strong command of the language is non-negotiable.
- Actively plays and understands the games they cover.
- Can consistently meet a required weekly publishing volume. If you plan to write 1 post per month, this role won’t be a fit.
- Has experience writing guides, news, or other structured content for games. Previous gaming journalism experience is a plus.
- Can quickly absorb constructive feedback fast and improve.
- Is versatile and comfortable covering more than one game.
- Doesn’t use AI to generate news post. We actively review news pieces and AI-generated content will be identified.
