While perhaps not on the massive Midnight expansion feature announcement hype level, one particular change coming with the new expansion is fantastic! Blizzard have added automatic switching between transmog sets!
Auto-Switching Mog
It’s time to get some more transmog setups for Midnight, as you’ll need them! Blizzard announced they will be adding the ability to automatically switch between pre-set transmog outfits! It seems players will be able to save individual item slots with triggers. Each of these sets will have conditions that will automatically switch your transmog to that outfit when triggered. For example, you can have a lounging around your house outfit that will automatically appear when you zone into the new Housing zone! We don’t know how many sets there will be or what conditions we can set to trigger them yet. But it seems like a safe bet we at least get a “combat” outfit and a “lounging” one, and perhaps even an open-world exploration type. And even if it’s just those, it’s already a great feature. R/Transmogrification is about to explode!
Free Switch!
For this feature to work, obviously the auto-switching has to be free. And it is! It would be quite the thing if players would auto-lose 1,000+ gold when zoning in and out of different locations. It’s unclear/how much setting up the outfits to switch to will cost, if anything at all. Either way, some transmog aficionados are about to save a whole lot of gold!
