The final Remix phase dropped today on NA servers and brought many improvements. Unfortunately, one feature that was not fixed was the character transfer to retail servers. It has been down for many players since the last reset. With patch 11.2.7 and the Turbulent Timeways active, there are plenty of players who might want to get their Remix characters over to retail.
There hasn’t been much communication on the matter from Blizzard. We have a couple of comments on the forums talking about how the issue is being worked on from a few house ago (as spotted by CardinalM1), and that’s about it.
Nothing is being ignored, Andruil. The conversion wasn’t disabled on a whim, it is because the Development team needed to address an issue. Sometimes such resolutions are quick, some take time. This one takes time.
Yes, and sometimes things happen where a functioning system stops functioning the way it was intended. We don’t really give deadlines on bugs and bug fixes, we never have in the history of this company. That has never meant that the issue has been ignored or that we don’t care.
As this thread seems to gone off its intended purpose of providing any available updates on the conversion option being disabled and instead has gone into commentary I’m going to lock it.
Hopefully, the issue gets resolved soon. There is the possibility we have to wait for the event to be over to get our characters! As a reminder, that’s exactly what things were like for the Mists of Pandaria Remix. The “transfer anytime” feature is new to the Legion version.
