Liberation of Undermine Raid DPS Log Rankings, Week 7: Class Tuning Results

Staff's Avatar by Staff

The results are in and the changes are huge! We see a new No.1 in the top percentiles and whole lot of faces we haven’t seen in a while in the top 10! Affliction! Frost DK! Arcane!! Let’s dive right in.

Note: We are using normalized scores instead of raw DPS for the Warcraft Logs rankings. Normalized scores take into account the outlier boss fights where certain specs could stack massive DPS (due to the nature of the fight, whether it’s AoE spam or something else), which would then affect their overall score for the whole raid.

Overall Damage 95th Percentile

Affliction is on top! It’s been a long time since we saw the Warlock spec at the very top, and the spell-specific buffs really did the job. It was already doing well before, so it “only” moves two spots up and dethrones Devastation. Marksmanship gains three spots at No.3, without the help of any buffs. We have another Warlock right after that, with Destruction dropping two despite a few buffs. Unholy also drops a couple of spots and lands just ahead of Assassination, which leaps three spots up, also without the help of buffs.

Then we see one of the biggest winners of the tuning – multiple tuning passes, actually – as the twice-buffed Arcane makes it into the top 10, gaining a huge 12 spots at No.7. Windwalker drops three to No.8, as it only got some minor buffs. Shadow also gains three spots in 9th, with no buffs received. Closing out the top 10, we have Survival, continuing its drop after that one (bugged) week they were on top. Augmentation’s big buff did nothing to move it out of last spot, but also didn’t improve its performance at all. We do see Subtlety join it, dropping a couple of spots, but the big bottom-three-news it Retribution plummeting seven spots toward the end of the list.

Overall Damage All Percentiles

We seemingly see the same top 5 at first, if you just look at the class colors. Things are very different here in the generalist bracket, as while the No.1 and No.2 are the same, we see a different Hunter and Death Knight in the latter spots. Survival takes Marksmanship’s space in third, and Frost DK skyrockets up 11 spots to land in 5th with its buffs! Unholy drops four spots after that one seemingly small nerf, landing ahead of a very stable Assassination. We then have a very blue middle chunk of the rankings, as Fire remains stable in 10th, but is getting rushed by its fellow Mages, as they gain 12 and 9 spots, respectively!

Boss Only Damage All Percentiles

Arcane shows where its strengths lie and where it’s high positions come from, as it moves 11 spots up into 2nd, as Assassination remains unphased at the top. Frost DK is also doing very well here, gaining 9 spots and landing ahead of Survival which drops three.

Mythic Bosses

Time to check in on the final five bosses, as Outlaw and Survival doing very well on the first three of them, and a VERY few Frost Mages taking the top spot on the final boss. we have 140 guilds that have fully cleared Liberation of Undermine.

Heroic Overall Damage All Percentiles

Survival moves up despite no buffs in Heroic, dethroning Devastation. Affliction moves up quite a bit in 3rd, so its doing very well in the lower difficulty as well.
