Slightly hidden in the State of Azeroth recap article is a brand new tidbit featuring Midnight’s release. The latest expansion’s early access was expected to arrive three days ahead of its launch on March 2nd, based on the minimum three days mentioned in promotional posts. However, Midnight will be receiving the full four days, the same as The War Within had.
Blizzard shared the detail at the end of the Midnight expansion section of the State of Azeroth recap article:
We can’t wait to see how you choose to adventure across the unfolding story of Midnight. Midnight Early Access begins February 26 at 3:00 pm PST worldwide.
While this should have perhaps been expected, it did catch some by surprise. But it makes perfect sense to keep the same amount of Early Access time as the previous expansion.
Midnight launches on March 2nd, and Early Access starts on February 26th.
