If you enjoy exploring all the new content in WoW Midnight, you might come across two toys that let you transform into different creatures and still fight normally.
One of them is the
Saptor Salve. When you use it, your character turns into a Saptor, a raptor-like creature from Haranir, and it looks really cool!
The transformation lasts 60 minutes, has a 10-minute cooldown, and it even survives all kinds of things that would usually cancel effects like this, including:
- Mounting
- Shapeshifting
- Death
- Combat
The toy even changes the color of your raptor form each time you use it, which is pretty great, as it adds a bit of variety.

Because the effect does not break during combat, you can run entire dungeons or encounters while staying transformed. It is a fun cosmetic trick, and a lot of players are already trying to get the toy to test it on different classes.
Where to Get the Saptor Toy
The
Saptor Salve toy drops in the Blinding Vale dungeon. According to the dungeon journal, it appears as bonus loot on Mythic difficulty and drops from Ziekket.

Another Toy Turns You Into a Pango
The second transformation toy is
Pango Plating. This one turns your character into a Pango, another unusual creature introduced with Midnight.
Just like the Saptor toy, it has a 10-minute cooldown and 60-minute duration, so you can run around the world and fight while fully transformed.
You unlock this toy through the
Treasures of Zul’Aman achievement, which requires you to discover hidden treasures scattered around Zul’Aman.

Trying Funny Combos
Since the transformation persists through combat and shapeshifting, people have already started experimenting with funny combinations. For example, there are plenty of Druids running around the world, fighting as raptors instead of their usual animal forms. There are also already clips of players casting spells as a Pango mage or monk.
The effect is purely cosmetic, but the fact that it lasts a full hour and works during combat makes these toys a lot of fun to mess around with. Chances are you will start spotting raptors and pangos showing up in dungeons and world content once more players get their hands on them.
