Midnight is very much the Void expansion, so it makes perfect sense Void Elves are getting some nice benefits with it! Their racial ability that transforms them into… well, more Void-y elves, will be easy to activate with a new consumable item.
Embrace on Demand
The 
Entropic Embrace racial ability normally procs around once a minute, but aside from its combat benefits, it also turns the elf into a deeper Void state. Well, come Midnight, players will be able to be in that state when they want! Well, sort of. As spotted by Rhombico, the new 
Night’s Embrace consumable item enabled the visual aspect of the trait when activated. There are some issues with it, though. First off, it turns off when combat starts. That means you’ll have to keep reusing it if you want to permanently look Void-infused. You can just throw it in a macro you use a lot when out of combat (like mounting or dismounting) to skip the annoyance of manually re-applying it. Then there’s the fact that it’s a consumable, so you’ll need to buy quite a few. It also costs 5 gold. That can start adding up if you constantly use it as you go in and out of combat.
You can grab it in the Voidstorm, at the Howling Ridge inkeeper once Midnight launches.
It’s still a pretty cool addition to the game, as more visual options are always better! Some may think this should be a toy instead. However, consider the cooldowns of other cosmetic toys of this sort before wishing for that! And with Void Elf Demon Hunters coming with the expansion as well, there will be plenty more players that might care about this little item!
