There’s a new fancy weapon enchant in town coming with next week’s Season 3! The Arcane Illusion PvP illusion is a cosmetic enchantment that makes your weapon glow with, well, arcane-themed visuals, aka purple/magical sparkles, obviously.
IamShorteh made a great video showcasing the new enchant coming in Season 3 – a special weapon enchant visual effect that players can earn through Rated PvP.
How Do You Earn It?
You must reach a 1950 rating in any Rated PvP bracket (2v2, 3v3, or Rated Battlegrounds). This rating corresponds to the Rival II title bracket in Season 3. In previous expansions, cosmetic illusions were often rewards for higher ratings, like 2100 (Duelist), but starting with Season 1, Blizzard lowered the requirement to 1950 (Rival II) for this reward. They reduced the rating requirement so perhaps more players could enjoy cool visuals instead of just the top PvP players.
Visuals
The enchant looks good on every weapon, but it feels and looks like it was made for staves especially (0:24 in the video).
And Two-Handed Maces aren’t too shabby either (10:35 timestamp).
