Official 11.1.5 Horrific Visions Overview: Tributes, Runes, Rewards, Achievements, and More

Staff's Avatar by Staff

Here comes an official look at everything coming with Horrific Visions in this week’s reset. The new activity is already available on US servers and arrives with tomorrow’s reset in the EU.

Blizzard cover everything from the new and returning masks you can use to increase difficulty to the build empowering runes, passive tribute upgrades, as well as mount, pet, and transmog rewards. We even get a look at all the achievements related to the activity!

Madness stirs once more! Return to N’Zoth’s twisted versions of Stormwind and Orgrimmar in Horrific Visions Revisted and take on the new challenges within—complete objectives, collect Displaced Corrupted Mementos, and claim a dark trove of mounts, toys, transmogs, weapon enchantments, and more!

Whether powering up your Warband or venturing into the nightmare for the first time, now is the moment to walk willingly into the void and seize what lies beyond—maintain your Sanity or ultimately fail.

Unimaginable Horrors Lie Beyond

Speak with Soridormi, who has set up camp on the Coreway overlook in Dornogal to deliver you to the Tenebrous Gateway, where the Image of Wrathion will help you enter the void-corrupted visions of Orgrimmar or Stormwind.

Enter the madness alone, in the company of the new Construct of Soridormi companion, or rally your allies to help defend against the creeping decay of insanity. Click on the Bronze Hourglass after passing through the Portal of Horrific Visions to extend the invite to the insanity-immune Construct of Soridormi to help fill in the gaps as a Tank, DPS, or Healer.

Looking for a greater challenge? Don new and returning Faceless Masks to amplify your torment in pursuit of greater power, including gear up to Heroic difficulty.

  • New Masks
    • Faceless Mask of Vengeance: Killing enemies will bolster their nearby allies with Vengeance, increasing their damage done by 15% for 20 seconds. This effect stacks.
    • Faceless Mask of Multitudes: More enemies will be present through the Horrific Vision.
    • Faceless Mask of the Nemesis: Your nemesis will spawn every 25 kills in a Horrific Vision. This nemesis is an Elite mob, has Sanity Breaker abilities, and awards Sanity via the Elite Extermination Tribute upgrade when killed.
  • Returning Masks
    • Faceless Mask of the Pained: Each area will consist of 2 Madnesses (instead of 1).
    • Faceless Mask of Dark Imagination: While below 50% Sanity, a Horrific Figment will occasionally spawn and attack you.
    • Faceless Mask of the Long Night: Reduces Maximum Sanity by 50%.
    • Faceless Mask of the Burned Bridge: Moving causes void zones to spawn in your path for ~10 seconds. Standing within the void zones drains 30 Sanity per second.
    • Faceless Mask of the Daredevil: All Sanity damage caused by creatures is increased by 400%.
