A small but welcome quality of life change has arrived for alt enthusiasts with today’s hotfixes. Gear dropped from rare mobs is now Warbound, meaning it can be transferred to other characters on your account.

However, if you’d been holding onto rare drop gear with the hopes that Blizzard might make this change, there’s some bad news. Previously looted items remain Soulbound, so only newly acquired gear will benefit from the update.
