A small but welcome quality of life change has arrived for alt enthusiasts with today’s hotfixes. Gear dropped from rare mobs is now Warbound, meaning it can be transferred to other characters on your account.
However, if you’d been holding onto rare drop gear with the hopes that Blizzard might make this change, there’s some bad news. Previously looted items remain Soulbound, so only newly acquired gear will benefit from the update.
Rare Farming in Midnight
Rare hunting in Midnight offers more than just a gear upgrade, with unique decor rewards tied to each zone’s achievement.
Leaf None Behind, earned by killing all Harandar rares, rewards the
Lightbloom Moss Mound.

Killing all rares in Eversong Woods earns
A Bloody Song, and the
Silvermoon Energy Focus.

Tallest Tree in the Forest rewards
Colossal Amani Stone Visage for killing all rares in Zul’Aman.

The Voidstorm rares achievement,
The Ultimate Predator, rewards the
Opened Domanaar Storage Crate.

Each rare mob also has the chance to drop various mounts for each zone. Rare farming not only gears your alts, but also fills your house and mount collection too!
