Patch 11.2.7 adds a way to stop Danath Trollbane from endlessly repeating “I understand your frustration, Geya’rah. But do not rush to conclusions.” Players in Dornogal frequently hear this line if they haven’t started the 11.1.7 Rise of the Arathi storyline on their mains or alts. This has been a source of frustration for players since it’s implementation, since you can’t skip it on alts.
Workarounds No Longer Needed
Senior Quest Designer Keith Riley Co, who goes by Boogily_Woogily on X, added a dialogue option to Danath in 11.2.7 that will make him stop repeating the line over and over!
Interacting with him again allows to reenable this voiceline. Even without reenabling it though, you can start the quest, meaning you can keep him quiet for as long as you’d like!
Simpler Way Than Earlier Workarounds
This isn’t the first time players have tried to silence Danath. His location in Dornogal is right outside of Stonelight Rest and surrounded by the weekly quest givers, meaning players week after week will most likely hear him say his now (in)famous line. Unless you choose to start the questline, you will keep hearing Danath every time you come within range of him.
Azerius94 on Reddit wrote a post a couple months ago on a work around to this. It required players to start the questline, travel to the instanced version of the Arathi Highlands, turn the quest in, don’t accept the next quest, and then return back to Dornogal. This new change means you don’t have to do this anymore! Simply talking to Danath will make him stop.
Additionally, there’s also an addon called Shut Up Danath that you can download on CurseForge.
