Season 3 Just Got Rebalanced — Mythic 0 Nerfed, Mythic+ Buffed

With Patch 11.2 releasing next week, Blizzard did a final tuning pass on creature health in Mythic dungeons, delves, and the outdoor world!

Highlights

  • Creature health in baseline Mythic dungeons was nerfed by 2%.
  • Creature damage was reduced by 10%.
  • Creature health in Mythic+ Dungeons and Tazavesh Hard Mode was increased by 14%. Damage increased by 4%.
  • Creature health inside delves got increased by 10%.
  • Creature health in the outdoor world was increased by 10%.

As we prepare for the upcoming release of Ghosts of K’aresh, we are completing our final round of pre-release creature health and damage adjustments for the War Within Season 3, based on aggregate PTR data.

Our goal is for combat times and overall difficulty to match what players experienced as they geared up over the course of Season 2, and we believe this final set of changes should hit that tuning target. In addition, since baseline Mythic dungeons (aka “Mythic 0”) will be available immediately with the Ghosts of K’aresh update, we hope to ensure that the experience feels approachable for players who may not have had as much time to gear up, so we will be slightly reducing creature health and damage in that difficulty.

The following changes will be applied to PTR and to next week’s patch:

Mythic 0 Dungeons

  • Creature health reduced by 2%.
  • Creature damage done reduced by 10%.

Mythic+ Dungeons and Tazavesh Hardmode

  • Creature health increased by 14%. (Up from 10% announced previously)
  • Creature damage done reduced by 4%.

Delves

  • Creature health increased by 10%

Outdoor

  • Creature health increased by 10%

As always, we will review your feedback and data once Ghosts of K’aresh is live, and will make further adjustments if required.
