While a lot of zones are getting an upgrade in Midnight, Zul’Aman is the one gaining the most. Considering it was never a full zone to begin with, the raid has been upgraded with plenty added in the new expansion. IllidanS4 is here to showcase the changes, just like they did for Silvermoon! The original Zul’Aman 10-man raid was added back in The Burning Crusade’s patch 2.3. It was later changed to a 5-man dungeon in Cataclysm’s 4.1.0.
When it comes to the Midnight changes, the trees in particular are getting some major upgrades, with some very impressive color adjustments. As you’d expect from a raid/dungeon to zone upgrade, there are many new sections as well, adding a lot of variety. And perhaps the coolest part is the integration with the rest of the Eastern Kingdoms. We can see landmarks in the distance! Around 1:25 in the video, you can spot the spires of Silvermoon in the distance, and it looks particularly impressive. With this being part of Midnight, we can’t really avoid the Void either. There’s a splash of it in the Broken Throne part of the zone.
What do you think of the new Zul? How does it measure up to the War Within and other Midnight zones?
