The Midnight pre-patch introduces a stat squish, which means old raid scaling will be broken again for the foreseeable future, well, at least according to recent player reports.
Reddit user Useful-Business-6922 managed to enter a Dragonflight raid in the Beta and it took a whopping 10 minutes to defeat a boss on Normal difficulty compared to live taking between 20-30 seconds, meaning Mythic difficulty will be overtuned when the pre-patch hits on January 20.
There’s even a thread on Reddit asking about how soloing past Expansion raids feels on the Beta right now.
Has anyone tried soloing past Expansion Raids in Beta to see how the level squish feels?

What’s Going On Here?
A different player tried to kill the first boss in the Sepulcher of the First Ones on the Beta. On live, they can execute the kill in around 30 seconds, but post-squish, the boss took 2 minutes to kill.

What Is Happening With Legacy Raid Scaling?
Whenever Blizzard squishes down the numbers, it’s almost standard that mob scaling in Legacy raids gets broken and fixing it usually takes place in the .1 patch of a new expansion.
