We have a great one today as a player shared their long journey clearing Mythic Amirdrassil in The War Within.
A Long Journey, and Still No Fyrakk
TheDruidMan has been long at work trying to take down the final raid of the previous expansion on its maximum difficulty. Starting with the first kill in January, each boss took a solid amount of time to prepare and take down. The man is now at 8/9, with already a ridiculous number of Fyrakk attempts! And while the name may be Druid-related, the kills were all done with Protection Warriors or Paladins.
With a modest-by-today’s-standards 620 item level back in January, the first boss was defeated, but it wasn’t the first boss of the raid. Smoldernon was the first to fall, followed by Volocross. The next was the penultimate boss of Amirdrassil, with a World First on Tindral with an ilvl of 625! Nymue came in March with 640, back to the first boss of the raid, as Gnarlroot fell in May to 650. A month later, at 661, it was time for Igira to meet her 1v1 match, followed by the Council, and at 675 also in June, Larodar met his match.

Fyrakk still eludes the legendary Druid, even after over 1000 attempts! The boss may not be killable even in Season 3, but that won’t stop TheDruidMan from trying. And while it isn’t quite Mythic, here’s a look at the Fyrakk Heroic kill.
