Blizzard are changing the way Elder Charms of Good Fortune work in Classic compared to the original Mists of Pandaria.
The currency is used for bonus rolls on loot from bosses. It was received from a weekly quest but is now getting catch-up capability! It’s also getting a rolling cap to facilitate this, like Valor and Conquest. This way, players starting later in the expansion will be able to get Elder Charms up to the cap by simply replaying the previously weekly-only quest as many times as it takes to get to the cap. The cap itself starts at 3 at launch and increases by 3 every week after that. The cost in Lesser Charms was also reduced to 50.
Elder Charms of Good Fortune have been adjusted.
This currency is used to obtain bonus rolls and is limited to a weekly Quest that grants the player three charms. These will now be subject to a rolling cap, similar to Conquest and Valor, and will be an infinitely repeatable quest.
During the first week of Mists of Pandaria Classic, players will be able to earn up to three Elder Charms of Good Fortune. Every week thereafter, the total you can earn on the account increases by three. This means that a new character created five weeks into the expansion will be able to earn up to 15 Elder Charms of Good Fortune.
The cost of Elder Charms of Good Fortune has been changed to 50 Lesser Charms of Good Fortune (was 90).
