Taming Loque’nahak, one of the most iconic Spirit Beasts in World of Warcraft, has always been a frustrating grind, especially on high-population servers. But one player just confirmed that an old cross-realm trick using Class Trial characters on RP realms still works in 2025. If you are tired of camping Sholazar Basin for hours, this method could be worth trying out.
Here is how it works:
The Class Trial RP Realm Method (2025 Edition)
Shared by Reddit user AnonymousChaos, this trick makes use of low-pop RP shards to find Loque’nahak, then brings in your main Hunter through Group Finder.
Here is a step-by-step summary:
- You need a high or max-level Hunter on your main realm.
- Go to character creation and choose a low-pop RP server.
- Create a Class Trial character (this step is critical and often left out of older guides).
- Log into the trial character and fly to Sholazar Basin.
- Use an addon like SilverDragon or RareScanner to check known spawn points.
- If you find Loque’nahak, open Group Finder and create a Premade Group (any type works).
- Add a description like “Closed group” and submit it.
- Press Alt+F4 to instantly close WoW and switch characters.
- Log into your main Hunter and search for the group in Group Finder.
- Join it, then Alt+F4 again and log back into the trial toon to accept the group invite.
- Alt+F4 one more time, return to your Hunter, and you will now be grouped with the trial toon’s phase.
- Fly to their location and tame Loque’nahak before anyone else grabs it.

Coordinates:
Here are the TomTom coordinates you can use for the spawn locations.
/way #3711 71 71 Loque’nahak
/way #3711 67 79 Loque’nahak
/way #3711 51 81 Loque’nahak
/way #3711 30 67 Loque’nahak
/way #3711 21 70 Loque’nahak
/way #3711 36 30 Loque’nahak
/way #3711 59 22 Loque’nahak
The whole process can take as little as five minutes if you are lucky.
How Does This Still Work?
Roleplaying (RP) realms still follow slightly different phasing and sharding rules, especially for non-War Mode players. That means even now, in 2025, you can sometimes find rare spawns in these quieter shards when they are already camped into oblivion elsewhere.
However, keep in mind that you only get 3 hours on a Class Trial character, so it is best to try this during low-activity hours like early morning or right after server maintenance.
It is Not “Cheating” – Just Smart
Sure, there are some players who prefer the classic camp-and-wait method, and that is totally fine. But for those who are tired of the hunt (especially on full servers), this method is still completely legit, efficient, and works very well. It is especially useful for collectors or players who have tamed every other Spirit Beast but still dream of Loque’nahak.
Within the Reddit thread, one commenter summed it up best:
“I was having no luck anyway since my realm is full. This worked in five minutes.”
