The Best Non-Flying-Mount Mode of Transport In Remix Doesn’t Work in Argus

The final stage of Legion Remix arrived this week, and with it came Argus. The zone does something a little unexpected from a Remix iteration, as it blocks flying mounts inside it, just as it did on launch! But there are many ways to fly around in WoW, and one particular one is actually very abundant in Legion Remix! Too bad it doesn’t work.

No Meteorite for You!

Spotted almost immediately by players, the Fel Meteorite iconFel Meteorite that we’ve all been stacking during the first phases of the event, specifically to use on Argus, simply does not work. And to make matters even worse, it also specifically states that it DOES work on Argus!

Now, it does actually make sense that flying is cut off from Argus. The zone is very specifically built with camera angles in mind to make it seem the skybox around the ground is part of it and that the landscape extends into the distance. It simply was not designed with flight in mind. The meteorite would probably cause the same issues. Not to mention slamming into the invisible walls put in to preserve said angles.

The “usable on Argus” part is probably just a mistake, as someone meant it to just mean “in Legion”, but used in-game terminology and didn’t think about Argus’ separate rules. But it sure did pull the rug out of many players looking forward to it!

However, there is one thing you can use for some extra mobility on Argus. The Flight Master's Whistle iconFlight Master’s Whistle works just fine and can get you to a nearby flight master after a quest. It’s not flying-through-the-sky-while-on-fire fun, but it’s something at least!

They’re still pretty useful in some cases on the Broken Isles, however. Whether you’re disengaging from a fight or just getting out of water quickly, you can always get at least some use out of turning into a meteor and flying off into the distance.

Were you just waiting to use the meteor in Argus? How many did you manage to stack up?
