The D.I.S.C. Delve Belt is Best-In-Slot. Get It This Week!

There’s a new belt coming from Overcharged Delves in this week’s patch 11.1.7, and it’s pretty good! In fact, it’s the best in slot option for basically all specs, even at its starting item level, as you can see in our class guides. So, what is this belt, and how do you get it? Let’s take a look.

Recent Buffs

The Durable Information Securing Container iconDurable Information Securing Container belt itself didn’t get that much attention until a few days ago, when Blizzard announced some big buffs to it. After the official 11.1.7 content notes were released, an update was added that shared significant improvements:

We’ve made the following changes to the D.I.S.C. belt:

  • Increased the base item level to 691 (was 684), and the max item level to 701 (was 694).
  • Decreased Static Charge’s effect slightly.
  • Increased the other effects significantly.
  • Developer’s notes: Our goal with these changes is to make the different effects more competitive with each other for more players, and to ensure that the belt is desirable, but still gets replaced by endgame Season 3 gear.

Among the “other effects” improved was Charged Bolts iconCharged Bolts, which is now the No.1 pick for most of the DPS and tank specs, considering it got a 141% increase and an immediate application damage proc.

How To Get and Upgrade the Belt

The belt is very easy to get, as it’s part of the introductory questline for Overcharged Delves. You can get it by grabbing the Titanic Rumblings quest. You can then speak to Dagran over at the Delve area in Dornogal.

After you complete the questline, you’ll get your belt and two of the nine available special abilities. After the initial two, you can get the other abilities from Delves (which don’t need to be overcharged). Each ability lists the Delve they can be found in when you mouse over them.

Each week, you’ll also be able to improve the belt’s item level. You’ll get a quest for a Titan Memory Card iconTitan Memory Card, which will then upgrade the belt, which starts with a base of 691, going all the way up to 701 after four upgrades.
