It’s been a long road, but the Manaforge: Omega Race to World First has its winner! The final raid of the expansion has been defeated on Mythic difficulty! And the first guild to down Dimensius is Liquid! This is their third win in a row, as they’ve dominated the entirety of the War Within expansion. They did have to claw their way back in this race, however, after Echo‘s 0.3 and 0.5% wipes almost taking them out!
Devoured
Dimensius the All-Devouring is no more. After a long almost two weeks of progression in the raid (a solid chunk of it spent in Heroic and Normal split raids), the race is done for one guild. The road had some ups and downs, with the fourth boss being especially spicy and requiring a huge nerf. The later ones were slightly disappointing.

However, the final two bosses ramped up the challenge, and Dimensius in particular was a very worthy boss. With an intense first phase of grabbing players that basically turn into balloons and float to their doom, getting extra gravity to hang on while Dimensius tries to pull you in to his back hole of a heart, to the skyriding intermission that is actually pretty important on Mythic, the second phase with two extremely crowded platforms with players literally acting out the “let me in” meme with some void creature walls while avoiding chunks of planets being thrown at them, the fight is intense. And that’s not even mentioning that final phase where players take cover behind planets which turn into black holes!
The last phase took a lot to get into and held a very serious damage requirement. Guilds were pretty stuck around the 30-40% mark. But Liquid managed to get into the final phase enough times to beat it at the end, with some incredibly good play! Liquid and Echo swapped off, each taking the lead for a while the whole time. But the US guild wound up prevailing in the end. Echo’s 0.3%er less than 30 minutes before the kill was especially stunning, making the end come out of nowehere! Liquid weren’t doing too well before the kill, with several Phase 1 wipes!
The Kill
With three full phases and some flying intermissions, the boss went down after 385 pulls, much to the delight of Liquid.

Huge congratulations to them, with some incredible performance and dedication! And congratulations to the boss designers as well, especially on Dimensius!
