The First Wall, a Solo Kill, Liquid Does Tazavesh Deathless and Enters Mythic!

Day 4 is done and we had quite a bit of action! From a new World First to the most pulls on a boss so far, with not a whole lot of progress. Two top guilds ventured into the raid and made things very interesting, so let’s get to it!

The Top 3 Guilds and Tazavesh

Liquid, Echo and Method didn’t do much of anything all day other than gear up! Liquid kept threatening that they’re going into Mythic today, but as the day went later and later, they kept spamming those Dimensius Heroic clears! After that, they headed into the final gearing avenue, an actually very challenging one. Tazavesh has a Hard mode and then on top of that, a deathless run. The reward is huge, with a Mythic track item for each player, but the difficulty is a Mythic+ 10, and no one can die at all. It’s one attempt per week! That’s what the guild did at the end of the day. They managed to clear all 6 instances flawlessly and got themselves quite a bit of loot (8 weapons)! And then… they went to do more Heroic Dimensius… Now that’s some teasin’.

Liquid did actually head into Mythic after that, however! But more on that later.

The World First

The guilds with two bosses down weren’t too happy with Loom’ithar, as the boss proved quite hard for them, with a best of 50% across all guilds. But that’s when Instant Dollars entered the stage, the No.5 guild from Liberation of Undermine. They 1-shot both early bosses and headed straight to the big bug. It was looking like it might be a bit of a challenge, but they then turned it up and got the kill in the 5th pull. Only a few players survived to the end, but that doesn’t much matter, as the World First was claimed and the guild was on 3/8!

Actual Raid Progress

They weren’t stopping yet, and the next stop was the obligatory Forgewaver Araz. He gave guilds some trouble back in Heroic, and as it turned out, it wasn’t much different in Mythic either. The boss is very interesting and has a whole lot of health – not so much due to the Forgeweaver himself, but the many, many adds he spawns, including a copy of himself. It all gets hectic and the early pulls were spent trying to survive for two and a half minutes to move into the intermission phase.

They managed to visit the intermission quite a few times, but since you have to kill all three pylons at once to get out of it, that’s just another giant heap of HP to deal with, as the boss remains immune. They did eventually push through, but just once, and came out the other side with 5 dead. This was a problem as the big reward for finishing the intermission is 12 seconds with a stunned boss receiving double damage! They wiped shortly after the boss regained consciousness, as their tank died.

That was their best pull of the night and the lowest we’ve seen the boss at, 69%.

Enter Liquid

And just as Instant Dollars called it a night, Liquid finished up their deathless runs, ran another Heroic Dimensius, and then waited a bit… But EVENTUALLY they did enter the raid, honest.

It seems Tazavesh took a lot more out of Liquid than it seemed, as they had a very messy first boss pull. With 5 perma-dead around the 50% mark, they 15-manned a whole lot of the fight, making it a very exciting start to their Mythic journey! The last percentage was especially dramatic with just the tanks alive, and then just the one! And so Liquid managed to pull off the MOST exciting kill of the entire race so far… on the first boss. Now that’s entertainment! Here’s that 1-shot:

And the longer pull from when things went bad, as there were a total of 26 deaths when you count the battle rezzes and ankhs:

The Easy Two

Liquid were around 700 item level across the guild, as they didn’t use any upgrades as usual, saving them for the hard bosses. They did go the SOMA-trailblazed route of Soulbinder second and made quick work of him. Loom’ithar was a considerable step up in difficulty for the other guilds, but Liquid just plowed through him, same as the other two. Well, no, as the first boss was the hardest for them!

After that World 2nd on the third boss, Liquid… went to Mythic+. The guild needed a bit of time to figure out the loot distribution after the Mythic kills, so they sent the raiders to the dungeons! In the end they pulled the 4th boss 4 times, getting it down to the intermission:

So that was day 4 and it was a huge one. Now that Liquid is in Mythic each day will see some real progress, and we might even see Echo and Method in there towards the end of day 5 as well! Head on over to Raider.IO for 24/7 live coverage.
