The open Housing test on the PTR this weekend has been very successful, with many players sharing their excitement and creations. However, as tests should, it pointed out some interesting features of the system players maybe weren’t too happy about. This may be a tricky feature, or perhaps the best, as the housing wars have begun!
He Pulls a Tree, You Plant a Forest in Their Yard
Plenty of players noticed that their neighbours can actually put things into their yards. One player, however, did not take kindly to this encroachment. Bajoran_Worker came into their plot one day to find a tree where one wasn’t before. Was this a random bug, a forgotten seed planted ages ago? No, it was their next-door neighbour slamming down a whole tree in their garden! Not being one to take things lightly, Bajoran_Worker decided not to calmly address the issue, but rather escalated in kind!
We weren’t quite expecting a PvP aspect to the Housing system, but it seems there may be some disputes going on when it launches! Perhaps an arena in every neighbourhood should be added to resolve such matters?
Players immediately jumped in the comments, asking the right questions and offering very useful comments.
And the most important question of all!
Will you be invading your neighbours’ plots? Or are you just plotting ways to defend yourself if you get tree-bombed?
