Twilight’s Ascension, the Midnight Pre-Patch event, is starting on the week of January 27th. Here’s what you need to know about the event – All in one post!
Unlocking the Twilight Ascension Midnight Pre-Patch Event
Access to the Twilight Ascension Midnight Pre-Patch event starts with a short questline, with the quest The Cult Within. You will receive this questline automatically when logging in for the first time in Patch 12.0. This is a short questline that will lead you to the Twilight Highlands to disrupt the Twilight’s Blade, a rebrand of the Twilight’s Hammer Cult – Now loyal to Xal’atath.
Completing this questline will unlock World Quests in the Twilight Highlands, as well as unlock access to Twilight’s Blade rare spawns in the area.
What To Do During The Twilight Ascension Midnight Pre-Patch Event?
Activities in the Twilight Highlands will reward an event-exclusive currency, 
Twilight’s Blade Insignia. This currency is used to purchase rewards exclusive to the Pre-Patch event. You can obtain the currency in the following ways:
- 1 Insignia per Twilight Highlands rare mob;
- 10 Insignias per Twilight Highlands World Quest;
- 40 Insignias per weekly quest – Twilight’s Call and Disrupt the Call (once/week per warband).
World Quests in Twilight Highlands work just like normal World Quests, but rares are a bit different. Every 10 minutes, a rare will spawn somewhere in Twilight Highlands. You will know a rare is spawned with the zone-wide announcement, “The Twilight’s Blade have begun summoning more forces. Defeat their ritual leaders!”.
Once a rare is up, you will need to break it out of its immunity shield by participating in a 3-stage event, where you must kill ritualists around the rare.
Twilight Ascension Midnight Pre-Patch Event Rewards
The Midnight Pre-Patch Event has a couple of exclusive rewards: Two Feats of Strength and a series of cosmetic rewards purchased with Twilight’s Blade Insignia. The Feats of Strength are as follows:
- Two Minutes to Midnight: Defeat all rares summoned by the Twilight’s Blade during the Pre-Patch event. Completing this achievement gives the
Light-Forged Mechsuit mount. 
Crunching for Cultists: Win the Twilight’s Blade Stratagem game in the Twilight Ascension camp 50 times. The Stratagem game is a simple tic-tac-toe game.
