A recent post on X/Twitter quietly reminded people of something that honestly sounds unreal. One player has managed to earn Rank 1 in every single WoW PvP season since Season 10 – going all the way back to Cataclysm.
The record belongs to a familiar name in the WoW arena scene. If you have watched AWC, PvP montages, or top leaderboard breakdowns over the years, you probably already know who it is.
That is over 25+ consecutive Rank 1 seasons, across multiple expansions, balance changes, metas, and teams. Staying competitive is one thing. Staying Rank 1 for that long is something else entirely!
Why This Is Such an Impressive Feat
Getting Rank 1 in WoW PvP means finishing in the top 0.1% of players in your region. Even Gladiator is already a big achievement, and plenty of strong players never make it to R1…
Now imagine:
- Doing it every season since Cataclysm, even when your spec is not favored
- Sticking with it through Legion, Shadowlands, Dragonflight, and now The War Within
- Winning in bad metas, team changes, and all the usual PvP chaos
It is hard to overstate how rare that is. The level of consistency, adaptation, and skill it takes to stay at that level is a little ridiculous.
See For Yourself
If you are curious what that kind of record actually looks like, you can check out Swapxy’s Drustvar profile. It lists all of his PvP titles, including 31 Rank 1 Gladiator seasons, as well as a full breakdown of achievements and rewards.
Although it is not super easy to verify it, the WoW PvP community generally accepts the streak as legit. Multiple top players and commentators have referenced it over the years, and Swapxy has been a consistent AWC presence.

Either way, it is an incredible achievement, and it will be fun to see if Swapxy keeps adding even more Rank 1 titles to that already stacked list.
