WoW Guilds Were Pulling the Wrong Boss – Then Another Newcomer Changed Everything

We have three new Mythic kills in very quick succession, as the guilds realized they were pulling the wrong boss the whole time!

Soulbinding Instead of Looming

We have our second World First of the Manaforge: Omega Race to World First, as SOMA down Soulbinder Naazindhri Mythic. The guild was the first to choose a different boss than the expected easier one. All throughout Heroic clears all guilds headed to the giant bug Loom’ithar, as it was considered the better pick. So when it came to Mythic progression, the guilds that downed the first boss also headed there. Loom’ithar, however, was no pushover on Mythic, and the best anyone could get him down to was 59%. Many guilds gave it a few pulls and then moved on.

SOMA had a different idea and went straight to Soulbinder after their Plexus Sentinel kill. Very quickly they realized they made a really good choice, as the boss was melting. It only took them 5 pulls to get the boss down to 33%, and just one more to kill it!

After other guilds saw the kill and just how fast SOMA got it down, they immediately left their Loom’ithar pulls and moved over to Soulbinder! And any new guilds that best the first boss will also be heading there directly, suddenly making Soulbinder the de facto second boss, after days of Loom’ithar holding that position.

The full kill pull:

And the raid composition:

We then had two more very fast kills, with Country Club getting the boss down in 4 pulls for the World 2nd, and Consequence, the holders of the first boss WF, getting it down in just 1 pull, minutes after that. Another guild also downed the boss a while later, as Memory grabbed the World 4th. The boss will be going down a whole lot, as it seems it’s very much the intended 2nd choice, despite being ignored for two days.
