Housing isn’t even a day old on live servers and, as you’d expect, there are some issues with it! One involved your friends editing your house and adding things, which could lead to you being completely unable to edit it yourself! Luckily, there’s a fix, so let’s see what’s going on.
Bricked?
TheRealChrisonis has a bit of a rude awakening as they came back to their house to see it looking very different. A fellow guild member had edited it, adding a lot of stuff to it roof. So far so fun, since it’s an easy fix, right? Well, as it turns out, not so easy. The owner lost access to the editing function of their own house! It seems the guildies’ edits hijacked editing permissions, as TheRealChrisonis was getting the “Failed to switch Editor modes. Something went wrong.” error message. They were also unable to relinquish the plot.
The Fix
Luckily, this wasn’t the end of the story! A solution was eventually found, as the guildie who edited the house had to do some work on their part. Re-creating the same edited items in the guildie’s house and then removing also removed them from TheRealChrisonis’ house. Presumably, it also allowed them to edit their own house once again.
So if you’re noticing some strange new additions or edit points on your house, it’s probably a friend or guildie messing with it! And if you get stuck, just use the solution above.
