It’s time to check back with Mythic+ after a week away, as we dive into retail and Remix! While there haven’t been any major changes, there’s plenty of movement, so let’s see what’s going on here in the latter part of Season 3 and close to the final month of Legion!
Raid and Mythic+ DPS Logs, Week 17
The Data
The data used in this article comes from Raider.IO‘s excellent analytics tools, taking into account all Mythic+ runs across all levels of play. The data is focused on this past reset and not on the season as a whole.
The Most Popular Specs in Mythic+ Retail
The top specs all lost just a little bit of traction, 0.1% down for BM, Ret and Frost, but it’s the top healer that’s had a good couple of weeks as Resto Shaman takes 3rd back from the DK, gaining 0.3%. Prot Palas dip down below Havoc as they drop 0.2%. Elemental does the opposite, rising 0.2% and landing just outside of the top 10. The bottom remains exactly the same, with Fire joining the two A’s, Affliction and Augmentation.
Runs by key level
We see only the one group attempting 23s, but the spec diversity in 22s and under is pretty solid!
And here are the full numbers, including the amount of runs.
Group Composition Popularity
The top group got slightly more popular, as the Resto Druid-led comp gained 0.2%. Despite that we see the No.2 group with the Shaman healer actually gain ground and is within 0.5% of the top spot, while the Ret-for-Havoc swap in third also rises, moving 0.2% up.
The Most Popular Specs in Legion Remix
Then it’s on to the solo-dominated Remix. Havoc actually dropped a bit, which is to be expected as players try out other classes, but the drop is fairly minor. And while a 1.7% drop would be massive in the regular charts, here it just means the Demon Hunter now represents only slightly under a quarter of the total runs made. Ret and Balance are also down, around 0.6% each, but we have to go down to 8th to see the first spec move, where Frost DK grabs Vengeance’s spot with a 0.5% bump. Beast Mastery is also on the rise, gaining two spots in 9th.
And here are the full numbers:
Group Composition Popularity
The first actual groups moved down one spot, as the double-Havoc and Havoc-Ret combos now start in 12th place. The only actual non solo/non-duo is completely gone from the 30-slot chart. The big differences between this and the overall popularity chart is Fury being above Unholy and Frost DK doing a little better than Prot Paladin. But the small differences in rankings really show you just how little the actual groups affect things in the solo dominated format.
