It’s time for our first real look at the Manaforge: Omega log rankings! We already peeked in a while ago, but now we have basically the full (NA) reset’s worth of data. There’s a class tuning pass coming with this week’s reset, with 4 specs affected. Affliction is dropping, albeit slowly, as the Season 2 tier set that’s ballooning its numbers gets less and less relevant. For Heroic, most specs range from 10k to 50k, with a few with only a few thousand logs. In Normal, they’re between 8k and 220k.
Keep in mind all the rankings here will significantly change as the specs get more and more gear, particularly the tier sets. For a look at which specs are expected to be on top later in the raid, after the tier sets and gear even out a little, here’s our Manaforge: Omega tier list.
Note: We are using normalized scores instead of raw DPS for the Warcraft Logs rankings. Normalized scores take into account the outlier boss fights where certain specs could stack massive DPS (due to the nature of the fight, whether it’s AoE spam or something else), which would then affect their overall score for the whole raid.
Heroic
Overall Damage 95th Percentile
Elemental makes its way to the top as Affliction’s set bonuses from season 2 wane in effect as new gear comes in. It’s still holding onto 2nd, however, but we’ll see how that changes next week, especially after the nerfs coming with the tuning. Destruction is climbing the ranks, hoping to be Azeroth’s next top Warlock, while Arcane seems very certain it will get that title for Mages, as it gains a lot of ground. Assassination comes out on top in the Rogue wars, but Outlaw isn’t far behind, with Demonology in between them, making it triple Warlocks in the top 10 once again. Enhancement gains the most since our early peek, as we see the spec in 9th, with Havoc also rising significantly and closing out the top 10.
Retribution still hasn’t had its buffs (and apparently they aren’t nearly enough according to their… vocal Discord), so it’s still sitting at the bottom. Arms is getting a larger buff, so it should be moving up quite a bit, but Augmentation will not only remain here but probably also fall to the very last spot, as it didn’t get any changes in the tuning.
Overall Damage All Percentiles
Affliction holds on to power here, but does lose a lot of ground to Elemental already. Assassination moves up even more, slotting into 3rd and pushing Demonology down. Arcane gains four spots here, and Outlaw and Shadow both drop one. Fury and Havoc move up together, both rising three spots into the final top 10 slots. We see Fire in the bottom 3 here, but it shouldn’t stay there too long, as it’s also receiving a buff.
Boss Only Damage All Percentiles
Affliction’s seat of power lies in the direct boss damage, and it’s holding strong here. Assassination almost manages to take it down and remain just in front of Arcane, as both specs rise, moving past Elemental. Unholy, Feral, and Survival hold on in the top 10.
Individual Bosses, Mythic
We’re taking a peek into Mythic for the first few bosses, as a decent enough chunk of guilds has taken them down. 299 guilds took down Plexus, 203 for Soulbinder, and 72 for Loom’ithar. The following bosses only had the top 3 manage to take them down.
Plexus Sentinel

Soulbinder Naazindhri

Loom’ithar

Individual Bosses, Heroic
We’ll be taking a look at the final three bosses in Heroic as well, where we see Elemental and Arcane handily taking things over, with Affliction falling off at the later bosses.
Fractillus

Nexus-King Salhadaar

Dimensius

Normal Overall Damage All Percentiles
Things are mostly the same as in Heroic here, but we do see Devastation stay strong after its top Season 2 performance, as players aren’t quite ready to let the spec go in Normal. Balance also shows up in the top 10, while the bottom is again looking the same as in Heroic.
