Patch 12.0.5 is bringing WoW’s first Pride event—the Darkspear Dash. For 12 years, the Running of the Trolls has been a community-organised event on Feathermoon-US, celebrating individuality and identity. But this year, Blizzard is taking the reins and making it official this June!
According to early details, the official event will mirror the spirit (and chaos) of the original event. The run will begin at the Echo Isles, as revelers make their way across Kalimdor, before heading through the Eastern Kingdoms, and finishing in Silvermoon.
While Blizzard hasn’t confirmed specific details yet, @WarcraftCares on X told players to expect “a lot of fun stuff”, hinting at possible rewards from the microholiday.
The Darkspear Dash’s official debut will undoubtedly be one of the most colourful additions in Patch 12.0.5. All eyes will be on Azeroth to see how this player-born tradition evolves.
