It’s time to dive into Amani culture and environments as the second Eastern-Kingdoms-connected zone of Midnight has been detailed!
A greatly expanded zone from its original pieces, Zul’Aman has two dungeons and one brand new event. Abundance focuses on boosted gathering profession activities, and will actually be active in all Midnight zones, but has been shared here. The Amani also recently got their own short story, which you can check out here.
The volatile neighbors to the blood elves, the Amani trolls, reside in their capital of Zul’Aman. They are a proud people who have fought hard for their land and overcome significant hardships and challenges. Comprised of old forests and tall mountains with periodic rainfall, you’ll take a journey deeper into their culture and history as you explore all this zone has to offer.
After completing your journey through Eversong Woods, Zul’Aman is one of three options at the Scouting Map in the Sanctum of Light that you can choose from.

Zul’Aman: Home of the Amani Trolls
Meet the grandchildren of Zul’jin: Zul’jarra and Zul’jan. Zul’jarra is the leader of the Amani trolls, and her brother, Zul’jan, serves as her adviser. The uneasy peace that has settled between the Amani and the blood elves has begun to weaken as the threat of the Void continues to drive wedges between nations. It falls to you to venture into this ancient land and learn more of the deep culture of the Amani.
Zul’jarra is searching for a solution to help her people survive the Void onslaught that is coming their way. Having lost touch with the loa and the ongoing tensions with the neighboring blood elves, they are struggling to push back the Void. You’ll explore the abandoned and overgrown Akil’zon (eagle), Halazzi (lynx), Jan’alai (dragonhawk), and Nalorakk (bear) loa temples as you delve deeper into their story.
New Activities: Abundance
Harvest materials for the Loa of Abundance in a fast-paced, super-buffed, professions-themed public event. Available across all Midnight zones.
Dungeons
Den of Nalorakk
Wounded by Zul’jin and Malacrass, Nalorakk turned his back on the Amani, slumbering in his den to ease his pain. Now, the Amani seek to heal the rift between their tribe and the loa. But, to gain Nalorakk’s favor, those who come before him must complete his trials. Assist Zul’jarra as she journeys into the mind of the Loa of War to defeat him and gain his blessing.
Bosses
- The Hoardmonger: Driven by voracious greed, the gluttonous Hoardmonger fiercely defends the stashes of food and supplies he has stolen from nearby troll tribes. Nalorakk’s first trial is to eliminate him before the tribes go hungry.
- Sentinel of Winter: The seasons can be kind or cruel. Sentinel of Winter unleashes the harshest winter storms to test all who face him. To surpass Nalorakk’s second trial, endure the biting cold and defeat the embodiment of a winter storm.
- Nalorakk: Slumbering in his fitful and battle-filled dream, Nalorakk, the Loa of War, will only test the mettle of the worthy. Survive his trial and receive his blessing or die trying.
Maisara Caverns
Beneath the sacred Maisara Hills, Vilebranch trolls sacrifice Witherbark captives to power their necromancy. Their rituals twist stolen souls into fuel for Rak’tul, a monstrous dire troll bound in the depths. If the cavern’s magic is left to fester, Zul’Aman will face a terror it cannot contain.
Bosses
- Muro’jin and Nekraxx: Muro’jin is a relentless tracker charged with capturing victims for the Vilebranch’s dark rights. Nekraxx, a reanimated eagle, strikes down any who resist capture by her master. They must not be allowed to supply souls for Vordaza’s necrotic magic any longer.
- Vordaza: Vordaza, the Vilebranch’s master of souls, performs forbidden rites to extract the soul essenses of the dead. She disills the suffering of her victims into raw necrotic energy to empower Rak’tul, her monstrous creation. Her vile magic and her monster must be stopped.
- Rak’tul, Vessel of Souls: An undead thrall bound to Vordaza, Rak’tul is grotesquely bloated with the essences of tormented souls and necrotic power. Drunk on his newfound power and driven mad by the souls’ endless suffering, Rak’tul stands ready to break Zul’Aman beneath the crushing weight of his fists.
An ancient wounded land, draped in the culture of a fractured people, awaits you in Midnight. Choose your allegiances carefully as you navigate ongoing tensions amid war-torn instability.
