Zenless Zone Zero‘s Season 3 is right around the corner, and HoYoverse decided it was time to release a new recap video designed to refresh your memories on everything that happened during the Season 2 Epilogue.
Keep in mind that this video does contain spoilers about the last part of the currently released story, so if you have not played through that yet, we recommend you stop reading and do not watch the video!
The title of the video, “Set Off, To the Skies!”, is already a good indicator of where we are heading. The video goes over the main events that brought the current chapter to a close and sets the stage for the next destination in the story: Roscaelifer.
A Reminder Before the Journey Continues
The recap focuses on the final developments of Season 2 and the mysterious conversation that pointed both protagonists toward Roscaelifer. If you were looking for a complete recap of Season 2, this is not for you. It really simply goes over the very last chapter.
“If you want to cure these symptoms once and for all… if you want to uproot the chronic blight from Helios… go to Roscaelifer.” These are Remielle Dan’s last words to the Proxy, and it turns out, Roscaelifer was already waiting for us. At the end of the chapter, Velina invites us to head there as well. But things are most likely not that easy, and it is becoming hard to trust anyone, including close friends.
The last line from Remielle has become one of the most important teasers heading into Season 3, suggesting that the answers surrounding Helios and several ongoing mysteries may finally be waiting in the next region. Not only is that “Doctor” supposed to be able to heal us, but we might find out way more about ourselves, our teacher, and Helios.
The first Void Hunters are also another mystery. How are they still alive? What happened back then? And why is Remielle trying to kill Sunbringer? Too many questions that might be answered in upcoming versions of the game!
Perfect for Returning Players
If you play regularly, you probably still remember the main story. The recap is especially useful for players who took a break during Season 2 or skipped parts of the Epilogue. Rather than digging through old cutscenes, you can just get a quick reminder before the next chapter begins.
With Season 3 expected to introduce a new region, new characters, and the next stage of the main story, HoYoverse clearly wants everyone to be on the same page before the journey continues.
The video does not reveal anything new, but it basically serves as a nice reminder of where things currently stand. And with Roscaelifer now directly ahead, it looks like Zenless Zone Zero is ready to leave the Waifei Peninsula behind and begin its next big adventure.
For players counting down the days until Season 3, this is probably the perfect time to catch up on everything that happened before taking off to a new adventure!
