Zenless Zone Zero‘s Version 2.4 update is arriving this week, but HoYoverse has confirmed that some voice-over content will be missing at launch! They released an announcement earlier this morning to share the news!
You can take a look at it here:
Missing Voices
According to the official announcement, the main story quest titled “On the Precipice of the Abyss” will launch with missing voice lines in the English, Japanese, and Korean versions of the game. The issue affects Ye Shunguang, Dialyn, and certain NPC characters.
HoYoverse confirmed that the missing voice resources will be added in a future update, though no exact timeline has been shared yet. We will keep an eye on official announcements for more details, and let you know as soon as possible! No specific reason has been given, either.
A lot of players are worried this will affect the immersion. Keep in mind that you can always swap to another voice-over language, or wait a bit before doing the main story.
To make up for the inconvenience, all players will receive 100 Polychrome via in-game mail after the Version 2.4 update goes live.
The missing lines won’t block story progress, but it does mean some scenes may feel quieter than intended until the patch arrives. Hopefully, the missing voices will be added before next patch!
