New leaks for Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.8 are starting to be released, and they bring the first real look at Promeia, her animations, role, and how she might fit into future team comps.
And based on early impressions, she is already getting mixed reactions.
An Ice Anomaly Agent With a Difference

According to the leaks, Promeia appears to be an Ice Anomaly agent with mechanics that scale around Anomaly Mastery (AM) and Anomaly Proficiency (AP). But what makes her stand out is how her kit seems to interact with a future system called Wind attribute mechanics, expected to come with Season 3 and become more relevant in upcoming patches after that.
With the info we currently have, you can expect:
- Wind damage builds up a special anomaly state
- Enemies can enter effects like “Wind Corrosion” and “Wind Erosion” (most likely a similar mechanic to what we know right now as Miasma)
- These states can amplify damage and trigger additional effects when combined with other elements
Basically, this looks like a more complex playstyle where different attributes feed into each other for bigger payoffs.
Designed for Future Synergy?
One of the more interesting things that players pointed out is that Promeia does not seem fully “self-contained.” Instead, her kit appears to rely heavily on interactions with other attributes, especially future Wind-based agents or systems.
There is even mention of chain reactions like:
- Ice damage triggers additional effects on Wind-affected enemies
- Cross-element interactions leading to extra bursts of damage
- AoE effects linked to anomaly stacking
That raises a question: is she meant for now, or for what is coming next?
Early Player Reactions Are Mixed
As expected with early leaks, the first reactions are all over the place. Some players are already skeptical, pointing out that:
- Her role feels unclear (main DPS vs sub-DPS)
- Ice DPS agents already face strong competition
- She may rely too much on future agents to shine
Others are more cautious, noting that:
- It is still early and numbers can change
- Complex kits often look weaker before proper testing
- Future synergy could significantly boost her value
Right now, she sits in that awkward “too early to judge, but not instantly impressive” category.
You can also take a look at some early animation footage, such as her menu animations, and combat and idle animations.
Of course, keep in mind that those are just leaks, not a final kit. Kits can change, numbers can be adjusted, and most importantly, future agents can completely change how someone performs. But if nothing else, Promeia already feels like a character designed with future systems in mind, and that could either make her must pull or an easy skip, depending on how things evolve.
