Zenless Zone Zero continues to be one of the biggest and most loved Gacha game this year, and it shows! This time, they are not here with a new agent, but with some well-earned recognition. The game has just been nominated for two major categories at the 2025 Mobile Game Awards!
Not Only One, but Two Nominations!
It is a big moment for HoYoverse’s urban action RPG! Being nominated for two big categories is a pretty cool thing. Zenless Zone Zero runs for:
- Game of the Year (this means Mobile Game of the Year only, not full Game of the Year)
- Best Visual Achievement
Why Is ZZZ Nominated in Those Two Categories
Mobile game of the year is the biggest category a game can be nominated in for mobile games. But what makes a game, mobile game of the year? According to the awards guidelines:
- Mobile-first experience: Games must be built specifically for mobile devices. This means that no matter how a game runs on PC, it has to be built for Mobile, and work really good on it, in order to fit this category.
- Creativity and technical excellence: The game should show outstanding innovation in design, mechanics, controls for touchscreens, and performance.
- Commercial and global impact: It needs to show strong player engagement, be popular, and have a big success in the mobile market.
Given Zenless Zone Zero works pretty good on mobile, and it has an original design and mechanics, as well as a pretty big global impact, we would confirm it does fit in the category, and very well deserve the award!
For the Best Visual Achievement, here is what the guidelines say:
- This award is about graphical quality. So this means how the visuals contribute to the player experience. It needs to be original, good-looking, qualitative.
- This includes visual polish in art direction, character design, animation, and consistent aesthetic quality across the game.
- Games eligible were fully released or significantly updated between June 2024 and June 2025.
Being nominated here means Zenless Zone Zero stood out for its really unique visual design, clean UI, colorful environments, and smooth animations.
The winners will be announced during the 2025 Mobile Game Awards ceremony, so keep an eye out to see if ZZZ takes home the prices! Both if it wins or not, this double nomination shows just how much of an impact it has already had!
