The next Special Program for Zenless Zone Zero has officially been announced, and version 2.8 is already going to be a pretty story-heavy update with a lot of surprises, new characters, events, collaborations, and more!
The livestream, titled “New: Eridan Sunset”, will go live on April 24 at 19:30 (UTC+8).

What to Expect From 2.8
The livestream will mainly focus on the next story chapter of Zenless Zone Zero, where things seem to be getting a bit more serious around Ramiel and the mysterious Porcelloy W-Engine.
We will likely see more details about Billy’s upgraded form, alongside the introduction of Judge Promeia, who already looks like she is going to play an even bigger role in the upcoming arc.
On top of the story, expect the usual breakdown of the update’s new systems, banner phases, character kits, and their signature W-Engines. These livestreams usually give a pretty good look at how each Agent will fit into the meta, so it is one of the more important reveals for players planning their pulls.
Anything Else Coming?
Beyond the main story and characters, the Special Program will also cover the usual version content updates. That means a preview of upcoming events linked to 2.8, along with the standard livestream redemption code drop.
There is also always a bit of room for surprises. HoYoverse tends to sneak in small teasers, either around the story, unexpected collaborations, or minor upcoming system updates.
