Is Gilberta Worth It? She Might Not Be for Every Account in Arknights: Endfield

Gilberta and the Endmin in Arknights: Endfield floating in the air

The latest Arknights: Endfield banner introduces Gilberta, a limited 6-star Nature support built almost entirely for boosting Arts damage teams.

She is not a character meant to carry fights on her own. Instead, her whole identity is about creating short windows where the rest of your squad suddenly hits much harder. That alone makes her a very different kind of pull compared to more straightforward DPS units.

A Support Focused on Damage, Not Safety

The easiest way to understand Gilberta is to compare her to Ardelia, the free option many players already use. Ardelia keeps teams up with healing and corrosion, but does not really add much to overall damage. Gilberta is the opposite. She offers very little sustain, but in exchange, she groups enemies, applies vulnerable debuffs, and amplifies Arts damage.

When everything lines up, total team DPS ends up noticeably higher than with a defensive support. The trade-off is that she is less forgiving if your timing is off.

Her Real Value Is in the Burst Window

Most of Gilberta’s kit exists to set up one moment: her ultimate.

After pulling enemies together and enabling reactions with her skill, she can create a short gravitational field that slows targets and increases the Arts damage they take. The bonus can climb quite high if vulnerability stacks are applied properly, and that is why she is typically played off-field as well.

If you miss that window, her impact drops a lot. Used correctly, it can push small-AoE characters and reaction teams much further than usual.

She Needs the Right Teams

Gilberta only really works in squads that rely on elemental reactions. Electric teams, or with Yvonne, for example, and more optimized Laevatain teams all benefit from her ability to group enemies and boost reaction damage.

On the other hand, she does very little for pure physical compositions. If your roster is not built around Arts or elemental triggers, she will not suddenly fix your damage. That dependency on synergy is probably the biggest reason some players will feel she is amazing, but others see almost no improvement.

Limited Support Usually Means Long-Term Value

Support characters in gacha games tend to age better than DPS because they scale with future releases. Gilberta’s abilities are mechanics that usually become stronger as more characters are added. That does not guarantee she will stay top tier, but it does make her the kind of unit that can gain value over time instead of losing it.

Gilberta is definitely not a universal must-pull. She is a “specialist”. If you are already running elemental teams or planning to build around Electric, Yvonne, or reaction-heavy compositions, she can definitely increase your damage and make fights get cleared faster.

If your roster leans physical or you prefer safer, sustain-focused supports, she is much easier to skip without hurting your account.

In short, she is strong, but only if you actually play the style she is designed for.
