Bartuc, the Lord of Chaos, returns in Season 10 as one of the final encounters of the Infernal Hordes. Instead of facing the Fel Council at the end of your run, you can choose to spend 666 Aether to open his chamber and challenge him directly.
Preparation
Each member of your party will need to spend 666 Aether to fight this boss. The first player who chooses will affect the entire party.
- Stack Resistances: Fire, Lightning, and Poison damage are frequent in this fight, so cap your resistances and bring Elixirs for extra protection.
- Mobility: Many of Bartuc’s mechanics require fast repositioning. Consider skills that grant immunity frames or teleport-style movement.
- Sustainable Build: Shadow, fireballs, and blood beams; damage adds up. Self-healing or barriers will help you to get through this challenge.
Boss Mechanics
During the fight, you might encounter the following mechanics:
- Chaos Portals: 4 Purple portals spawn in the center of the arena. Step into one to teleport to its opposite portal. These are essential for dodging mechanics, especially beams that wall off sections of the arena.

- Tracking Fireballs: Small fireballs lock onto your position and chase you down. Kite them and avoid getting cornered.
- Electrical Vertical Beams: Two beams sweep inward from the edges toward the center. Use portals or immunity skills to avoid being trapped.

- Chaos Balls: Chaos balls open on each side of the arena, launching shadow orbs toward one another. Keep moving to dodge.

- Fire Beams: Bartuc summons rotating fire beams around himself, sometimes two at once. Use portals to reposition if you get boxed in.
- Shadow Waves: Six dark waves circle the arena in alternating directions downwards. Watch their paths and weave between them.
- Horizontal Blood Beam: A solid beam of blood energy cuts the arena in half. The only way across is through a chaos portal.

Rewards
Defeating Bartuc offers big rewards. He has a higher chance to drop Chaos Armor, especially as you push into higher Torment tiers. You will not need to spend additional Aether to open the chests at the end of the fight.
