All Helltide Mystery Chest Locations in Diablo 4 (Season 3)

During Helltide, players may come across special chests known as Tortured Gifts of Mysteries, which require 250 Aberrant Cinders to open. These chests offer the highest value as they provide a greater number of legendaries compared to lower-cost chests.

Additionally, they contain unique resources specific to Helltide, such as Fiend Rose and Forgotten Soul.

However, unlike the lower-cost chests that are visible on the map, Tortured Gifts of Mysteries will have a distinct icon and color to help you find it on the map.

In addition, so that you can see everything at a glance, we have compiled the locations of all mystery chests in each zone.

Please note, that while the Mysteries Chests have fixed locations, they may not spawn at every location every time. Furthermore, they may also change locations during Helltide, typically around the half-hour mark, as Helltides last for one hour. Therefore, it is important to verify the location of each chest in advance. If a chest is not present or does not show on the map in-game, simply move on to the next location.

Another important thing to note, if your character dies, half the cinders that have been collected up to this point will be lost. Keep that in mind, and try to stay alive to maximize the time within Helltides. To learn more about Helltides in general, check out our Helltide Guide.

Make sure to only check the locations of Mystery Chests (Tortured Gift of Mysteries) within the same area as the active Helltide (red zone).

Fractured Peaks

Tortured Gift of Living Steel

The Tortured Gift of Living Steel is a another Helltide Chest that was introduced with Season 2, the Season of Blood, and requires 275 cinders to open.

Opening this chest will give you Living Steel (among other drops), which is a material that is needed to summon Grigoire, The Galvanic Saint. Furthermore, when fighting Grigoire on World Tier 4, he will drop Shards of Agony. These Shards are part of the materials that are required to summon the Uber Boss version of Duriel, King of Maggots.
