BleedInflicts Bleeding Damage Over Time

Bleed is one of the most devastating status ailments in Diablo 4, and is mainly used by the Barbarian class.

When an enemy is affected by Bleed, they take periodic Physical damage for a short duration. The total damage and duration depend on the skill or effect that applied the Bleed. It does not have a stacking limit. Multiple Bleed applications will increase the total damage dealt over time.

How to Apply Bleed

Bleed can be applied by both, players and enemies. Several skills, passives, items, and Legendary Aspects apply or enhance this effect. Barbarians are the only class with direct Bleed-applying skills, but enemies across Sanctuary also frequently inflict Bleed on the player.

Legendary Aspects such as the Iron Blood AspectIron Blood Aspect or Slaking AspectSlaking Aspect can further enhance Bleed effectiveness or survivability.

How to Recognize Bleed

When enemies are affected by Bleed, their Health bar will display a slightly darker red section. This section indicates the amount of Health they will lose due to Bleed. The brighter red section shows the remaining Health they will have after Bleed ends.

The Player Health Orb will also show a darker red section when the player is suffering from Bleed. This section represents the Health that will be drained by the Bleed effect. The brighter red section indicates the Health that will be left after Bleed wears off.

Additional Information About Bleed
