Chaos Amor is a new type of Unique in Season 10, the Season of Infernal Chaos. These items are more powerful versions of existing Uniques, breaking normal slot restrictions and opening up completely new ways to build your character.
What is Chaos Armor?
Chaos Armor takes an existing Unique for a specific slot and transforms it into the same Unique but for a different armor slot. For example, a Unique that normally drops as Gloves could now appear as a Helm, Chest, Pants, or Boots. This system allows you to stack normally restricted Uniques together for powerful synergies.
Chaos Armor specifications:
- Always rolls at maximum power
- 20% stronger than the base Unique power
- Includes at least one Greater Affix
- Green-colored loot (easy to spot)
- Account bound, no trading possible
- Cannot be equipped alongside the standard version of the same Unique
Important: Chaos Armor never appears in the original slot of its base Unique. For example, Flickerstep (normally Boots) will not drop as Chaos Armor in the Boots slot.
Why Chaos Armor Matters
The system creates new combinations. Imagine Fists of Fate showing up as a Helm instead of Gloves. You could then wear them with another pair of Unique Gloves. Or take
Ophidian Iris, normally an Amulet, now appearing as a Helmet.
Chaos Armor unlocks build paths that simply were not possible before.
Where to Find Chaos Armor
Chaos Armor can only drop starting in Torment I and above. The main sources are:
- Chaos Rifts and Mythic Chaos Rifts: new events found in Helltides or Nightmare Dungeons. Mythic Chaos Rifts are rare versions of Chaos Rifts in Torment difficulties, with much bigger rewards.
- Infernal Hordes: another great source for Chaos Uniques.
- Bartuc Fight: the new endgame boss encounter also has a chance to drop Chaos Armor.
Unlike normal Uniques, Chaos Armor does not drop from Lair Bosses.
Chaos Armor Slots
Chaos Armor can drop in the following slots:
- Helm
- Chest
- Gloves
- Pants
