A recent Reddit thread that was going over PlayStation trophies, ended up around a much more important problem. Diablo 4‘s PvP zones are basically dead at this point. This makes it almost impossible to complete the last few PlayStation trophies or achievements that require PvP kills.
One player wrote: “I have been sitting in the Fields of Hatred for hours. Not a single person showed up“.
The Community’s Solution? Work Together!
It is not new that the Diablo 4 PvP zones are not really popular, but as seasons come and go, they are less and less populated. So if you are new and want to get some achievements done, the risk is that you will walk around the Fields of Hatred for a few hours alone, wondering what you’re doing with your life.
However, players found a small solution! They have started to team up in parties with others who also need the PvP achievements! Once you are in a party, head into the PvP zone, disband the party, and simply take turns killing each other!
While it does sound a little bit like cheating the system, at this point it is really just the only solution left. A few players have confirmed that the workaround does unlock the PlayStation Trophy and game achievements properly, so if you only have those left, now is the time to find a party!
Of course, keep it always friendly. Make sure everyone got their turn, confirm that the achievement unlocked for the whole party and no one was left out before you leave!
A Sign of Bigger Issues?
Sure, the workaround is clever, but it also highlights a real problem! Diablo 4’s PvP experience is not the best. Low population in PvP areas and lack of actual goals in those zone, mean many players skip it entirely, leaving behind a ghost town for the few that find it interesting.
We can only hope that Blizzard took PvP into account when they are working on their “big changes”. Many players have shared how they would love to participate if things such as:
- Real PvP boss fights
- PvP Guild fights
- Having the possibility to get exclusive seasonal PvP rewards
The options are here, they just need to be implemented. In the meantime, it is nice to see players help each other out to complete achievements!
