The Diablo 4 community is celebrating the major overhaul to Lair Boss immune phases in Season 10. Now, players with enough damage can skip entire phases, making battles faster, smoother, and far more satisfying. Fans are praising the update as one of the best changes yet, with many saying there’s never been a better time to take on bosses in Diablo 4.
What Are the Changes?

For those who have yet to indulge in Season 10. Lair Bosses now gain a shield that can be broken with enough damage, which allows players to skip their immunity phase altogether. This shield scales as their HP gets lower, with the first shield being a 1/3rd of the boss’s health, with a second shield being 2/3rd later in the fight.
This allows players to have a much easier time fighting bosses, most notably Uber Lilith. This skip completely prevents her from flying around the arena during her second phase. Of course, you can only make these skips if you have enough DPS. This also sets up situations where you might be able to skip one phase, but lack the damage to skip it twice.
Of course, Uber Lilith isn’t the only fight that feels completely different from these changes. Andariel and Duriel also become relatively easy and quick to kill. Overall, this adds a bigger reward for players who know how to theorycraft builds or simply know the kind of damage they can do during their gearing phase.
Is Diablo 4 Finally Building Momentum?
These and a handful of other changes are playing a huge part in Season 10’s growing popularity. Within the first week, Season 10 is already pushing player count numbers, likely soon making it one of the most popular Diablo 4 seasons so far.
Have you enjoyed this massive rework to the Lair Bosses? Does the ability to skip immunity phases, clean up the annoyance behind some bosses, or does it remove too much of the difficulty?
