Diablo 4’s Seasonal Splendor event was meant to give us a cool little boost this week, but it looks like Blizzard forgot to update the bonus from last season.
What Happened to the Event
Both Mother’s Blessing (the usual XP and gold boost) and Seasonal Splendor went live this week, and the second one was supposed to increase
Infernal Warp drop rates. For those who need a reminder,
Infernal Warp is the main currency for Season 10 perks.
However, players quickly noticed something is off, and it turns out you are not really getting the bonus. The event’s buff tooltip and in-game notifications still mention
Horadric Phial, so the currency from Season 9!
It could have been just a visual problem, and the buff still being active, but multiple players on Reddit confirmed through testing that there is no boost to
Infernal Warp at all. It seems it is completely stuck to boosting something that is not in the game anymore, so you are not really getting any addition
Infernal Warp.
This led to a ton of players cracking a few jokes about Blizzard’s QA forgetting their seasonal checklist:
“They didn’t even change the name, just copy-pasted the event,” one player wrote.
“At this point I half expect them to reintroduce vampiric powers next,” another joked.
As of now, Blizzard has not released any information on the issue, but if the bonus is really not applied right now, we might get a hotfix soon. Seasonal Splendor is supposed to run until November 4, so players are hoping a quick hotfix will fix the buff to its intended bonus before it expires.
Until then, at least you can still enjoy Mother’s Blessing and get the juicy XP and Gold boost!
