<p>If you did not finish your <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Seasonal Journey</a>, if you are pushing endgame content, or just starting out, this limited-time event is the best opportunity to level up your characters faster and earn extra gold for crafting, upgrades, and more! </p>



<p>The bonus applies to both Seasonal and Eternal Realms, and it stacks with other in-game XP boosts as well. This means that you can use your potions that give additional XP during the event for even more bonuses. If you have been waiting for a good moment to power-level a new build or alt, this is it. You will not get a better opportunity! </p>



<p>There is no special quest or mechanic to activate. All you have to do is just log in, play, and enjoy the rewards. The event ends on August 12, so make the most of it while you can!</p>


Diablo 4’s Mother’s Blessing Week Returns With Various Bonuses!


<p>Blizzard is officially revamping their developer livestreams for <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4</a>, starting with Season 10. We should hear more about the changes next week.</p>



<p>In an X-post (tweet) posted by community manager Adam Fletcher (<a href="https://x.com/PezRadar" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@PezRadar</a>), he confirmed that the Season 10 PTR is still a few weeks out. The team is taking this time to <strong>&#8220;change up the format&#8221;</strong> for dev streams going forward.</p>



<p><em><strong>&#8220;The streams need some adjustments after a few years. We have been wanting to readjust to better serve players and some feedback,&#8221;</strong></em> Fletcher wrote. You can see the whole post here:</p>

<p>He added that a blog post about the changes is already in review and should be shared publicly next week.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why Change the Livestream Format?</h2>



<p>Although no specific details were given, the Diablo 4 developer streams (aka Campfire Chats) have received mixed feedback in recent months, from pacing and communication style to how much real information is delivered. </p>



<p>Season 10 (<strong>Infernal Chaos, Sep-Dec</strong>) might be a welcome &#8216;new start&#8217; for how Blizzard presents these streams. It will bring new endgame systems and the second IP crossover event. With that in mind, this revamp could be Blizzard&#8217;s way of improving how they present <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">seasonal content</a>, PTR feedback, and roadmap news.</p>



<p>Earlier this year, Blizzard confirmed that they will no longer release mid-season patches. Big changes will only come with season launches. So it makes sense to improve the Campfire Chats if they are going to be the main source of seasonal info.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">When Is the Campfire Chat or PTR?</h2>



<p>As Adam mentioned, the <strong>Season 10 PTR is still a few weeks away</strong>, and there is no Campfire Chat scheduled yet. But once the changes are finalized, we can probably expect a preview stream.</p>



<p>He also said that Blizzard is adjusting how PTR livestreams work. That suggests a more focused or refined format going forward.</p>



<p>This whole topic might not sound like a big deal, but for those of us who follow seasonal content closely, it can really help. If Blizzard announces dev streams more clearly and gets the word out better, especially before PTR launches, it gives them a chance to explain new systems in detail and get clearer feedback from the community. Making it easier to follow what is coming and share feedback can only help before things go live.</p>

Blizzard Is Reworking Diablo 4 Livestreams for Season 10


<p>Blizzard&#8217;s Diablo franchise is heading to your dining room. An officially licensed tabletop RPG based on <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4</a> is being worked on! And it is already looking like it is going to be everything fans could want from a dark fantasy roleplaying experience. Expect loot, lore, and lots of dice rolls!</p>



<p>The game is simply titled <strong>Diablo: The Roleplaying Game</strong>. It is planned for a full release in 2026, but the <a href="https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/glasscannonunplugged/706666020" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Kickstarter campaign is now live via Glass Cannon Unplugged</a>. </p>



<p>This is not just a quick cash-in either. It is being developed by a highly qualified team of tabletop creators, led by Joe LeFavi (Blade Runner RPG), and featuring designers behind Fate, Ironsworn, Blades in the Dark, and more.</p>

Diablo 4 Tabletop RPG Is Coming – And It Is Everything You Hoped For


<p>With <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4</a> currently in a quiet phase, patiently waiting for the next season or even expansion, and <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/titan-quest-2/news" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Titan Quest 2</a> having just launched in early access, it might be time for Blizzard to take notes. </p>



<p>The two games are miles apart in tone and style—Diablo 4 is much more gothic and bloody, Titan Quest 2 is more into myth and legend. However, both belong to the same competitive ARPG genre. And Titan Quest 2 is actually bringing in new systems and design ideas that feel surprisingly good. </p>



<p>So what could Diablo 4 learn from this new approach? A lot more than you would think.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class Flexibility</h2>



<p>Titan Quest 2 lets players pick and combine two masteries instead of locking into a predefined class. This system lets you be much more creative with your build. On top of that, you get way more choice when customizing your masteries: skills, modifiers, and more within each one. And if you&#8217;re not happy with your setup, you can easily respec everything.</p>



<p>Meanwhile, in Diablo 4, you pick a class and stick with it. And despite some flexibility within skill trees and Paragon boards, the core mechanics always stay the same. Each season, we can notice pretty much the same builds ranking on top, with players becoming more and more bored by the monotony of the gameplay. A lot of skills within classes are never used; you just don&#8217;t have much room to experiment with your character if you want a build that can make it past Tier 4.</p>



<p>Players think Diablo 4 could benefit from more build customization options, especially when it comes to class powers, which often don&#8217;t feel impactful. All the classes mainly use the exact same class power for their builds, because the rest doesn&#8217;t feel like it changes anything. If those were reworked into more meaningful masteries or modifiers, it would open up the door to many more build possibilities.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A World That Feels Open and Rewarding to Explore</h2>



<p>Titan Quest 2&#8217;s world feels less like you&#8217;re just following a quest marker. Diablo 4 has beautiful zones, but the open world can sometimes feel both limited and empty. Titan Quest has optional bosses you can seek out on the map, more things to discover, and also more rewards.</p>



<p>What players think Diablo 4 could do is make exploration more rewarding and less predictable. Things like hidden events, secrets, optional bosses not pinpointed on the map, or alternative travel paths would go a long way. Basically, give players a reason to actually go around the open-world. </p>



<p>Right now, many players never even step into the beautiful open world. They teleport from dungeon to dungeon, to <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/helltide-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Helltides</a>, to Town, and repeat all over again. Nothing feels rewarding, not even the world bosses. If the world felt less empty and more rewarding, players might actually start exploring the game&#8217;s open world. A few things that could make it more engaging might include:</p>

<li>Hidden events with big chests that have guarantied Greater Affix items</li>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Crafting That Complements Loot, Not Replaces It</h2>



<p>Loot is a big part in ARPGs. While Titan Quest 2 does not really have crafting just yet, it still seems to strike a nice balance with the items you find, instead of flooding you with trash. It also brings back set items that can again allow you to customize your build more. </p>



<p>Compare that to Diablo 4, where loot often feels bloated, with stat rolls that rarely excite past the early stages. A lot of <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/diablo4" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Reddit posts</a> already point out that <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/tempering-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tempering</a> and <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/masterworking-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Masterworking</a> often feel like they ruin your gear rather than improve it, due to how random and punishing the system can be.</p>



<p>A lot of people are also asking for the <strong>Set items</strong> to make a comeback! Those used to be key items in previous games, but are still missing in Diablo 4. Set Items could let players create new, original builds!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Tactical Combat That Isn&#8217;t Just About Numbers</h2>



<p>Titan Quest II wants boss fights and elite enemies to feel like real boss fights, with real emphasis on movement, positioning, and avoiding telegraphed attacks. Think fewer one-shot mechanics, more pattern-based encounters. </p>



<p>In Diablo 4, once you hit endgame, combat can often boil down to AoE spamming and melting everything with high numbers. Players have been quick to call out the recurrent problem with <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/lair-boss-system-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Boss fights</a>. Bosses just become HP sponges in the late game. The fights are full of one-shot mechanics you can barely avoid, and often have unskippable phases instead of feeling meaningful or fun. Add more enemy variety and mechanics that challenge how you fight, not just how much damage you can deal or take.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Conclusion: Not Competition but Real Inspiration</h2>



<p>The goal isn&#8217;t to say one game is better than the other, or that one does everything better. The goal is to point out the good things that one can take inspiration from, to make it better. New games always push older ones to come up with fresh, inspiring ideas to improve themselves.</p>



<p>For Blizzard, this could be the perfect time to take notes. Diablo 4 has the foundation of something great, but if it wants to keep longtime players engaged and bring back those who bounced off, it might want to borrow a few pages from its mythological cousin.</p>

<p>This quest asks you to cancel out enemy affixes using the right infusion power (from the Season 9 <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/horadric-spells-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Horadric powers</a>), and here is how it works:</p>



<ul>
<li>Equip one of the seasonal <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/horadric-spells-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Horadric Infusions</a> from your inventory&#8217;s seasonal tab.</li>



<li>Head into content with plenty of elite enemies like Nightmare Dungeons or The Pit.</li>



<li>Look for elites that have specific affixes (like Vampiric, Volcanic, etc.) and attack them while your infusion is active.</li>



<li>The infusion must be upgraded to at least Rank 5 to trigger the affix cancel.</li>



<li>Swap to a different infusion after completing one. </li>



<li>Keep checking progress between runs, it is a bit random, not going to lie&#8230;</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to Open Grand Horadric Caches</h2>



<p>Another seasonal quest is causing issues, and it is the &#8220;Night Terrors&#8221; one. This quest asks you to open Grand Horadric Caches in <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/horadric-strongrooms" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Strongrooms</a> during <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/nightmare-dungeon-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Escalating Nightmares</a>, and to complete local Events with Mastery in Escalating Nightmares.</p>



<p>Here is how it works:</p>



<ul>
<li>Escalating Nightmare Dungeons are those activated using Legendary-quality (orange) Nightmare Sigils. You can find those in Horadric Strongrooms inside other normal Nightmare Dungeons.</li>



<li>Use the sigil from your Consumables tab to start an Escalating run.</li>



<li>Find a Strongroom.</li>



<li>At the end of the Strongroom, you will be rewarded with a Grand Horadric Cache. Open it to completes the &#8220;Open Grand Horadric Caches found in Horadric Strongrooms during Escalating Nightmares&#8221;.</li>



<li>The second part asks you to complete random events inside Escalating Dungeons (for example, saving villagers, activating pillars, etc.). These are fully RNG-based, so expect to run a few dungeons before completing it. You need 5 of them.</li>



<li>If you run out of Escalating Sigils, party up with other players. You can join their dungeon even if you do not have one of your own.</li>



<li>You can run through the dungeons on lower Torment Tier to make it faster. You do not need to do that in T4 if your goal is just to complete the achievements.</li>
</ul>

How to Complete Diablo 4 Escalating Nightmares Season Journey


<p>After a short problem due to the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-iv-march-of-the-goblins-event-issues" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">bugged reputation statue</a> in Kyovashad, Blizzard released a <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/march-of-the-goblins-hotfix-statue-bug-solved" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">hotfix</a> for <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4</a> last night! The March of the Goblins event is now fully live and working as intended. </p>



<p>The statue bug was preventing players from turning in the Goblin reputation, but that is now resolved, and the goblin grind is officially back on.</p>



<p>You have until August 5 to go on the hunt for as many Treasure Goblins as you can, and get as many rewards as possible! However, it is not like those little Goblins are actually showing up on your map right away. If you do not know where to look, you might run past a dozen of those without even seeing them!</p>

<li>Instead of running around like a headless chicken, ride for a few seconds accross a small zone, and then open your map. Goblins will show up as icons on it right after, making them easier to spot. All you have to do then is go hunt!</li>

<li>It seems that goblins are spawning a ton in PvP areas. If you are scared that you will get killed by random players in the PvP zone, you can turn off crossplay. This will reduce the amount of players in your zone, and let you farm safely.</li>

<li>Look for Greed Shrines and <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/nightmare-dungeon-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nightmare Dungeon</a> affixes

<li>Some Nightmare Dungeon affixes like Treasure Breach can spawn 30+ goblins in one run!</li>

Best Way to Farm March of the Goblins in Diablo IV!


<p>In a <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-iv-march-of-the-goblins-event-issues">recent post made today</a>, players experienced a bug in the March of the Goblins. Initially, this bug prevented the statue from spawning in Kyovashad, but thankfully, the issue has now been fixed.</p>

<p>Players can now find statues in Kyovashad following the hotfix. Fortunately, this minor bug has been resolved, but be sure to <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news">check our news</a> for further updates.</p>


March of the Goblins Hotfix: Statue Bug Solved


<p>If you wanted to play <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4</a> today for the March of the Goblins event and found nothing, you are not alone! It turns out there is a small issue with this event, and the statue that is supposed to be located in Kyovashad did not spawn!</p>



<p>Blizzard has just acknowledged the bug, and is currently investigating it:</p>

<p>We are aware of an issue with the March of the Goblins event where the statue is not currently appearing. The team is investigating this and will keep the community posted as we work to resolve it.</p>

Diablo IV March of the Goblins Event Issues!


<p>If you have recently picked up <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4</a> on console, especially since the game is currently available on the PlayStation Plus subscription, you may have found out that the controller inputs are not always the greatest. You often get stuck unable to loot a chest or fight your way through an obstacle because your skill on the X/A button is also used to interact, and for Diablo 4, the two often overlap. </p>



<p>A recent Reddit thread went over the common frustration among a lot of console players! The default controller mapping is definitely not the greatest. Having the same button for both your basic skill and core actions like interacting, opening doors, or looting, means that if the skill is on cooldown, you can not do anything, even break barrels or pick up drops.</p>

<p>Thankfully, there are a few solutions to work around this issue. You do have access to keybind settings, which means you can change what button does what. And you have to basically make sure that your interaction button is alone and is not bound to any other action.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to Change Your Keybinds</h2>



<p>In order to change your controller key bindings, you need to:</p>



<ul>
<li>Open your in-game settings</li>



<li>Head to the &#8220;controls&#8221; tab</li>



<li>Click on &#8220;controller&#8221;</li>



<li>From here you can re-bind everything (or almost everything)</li>



<li>First, you want to uncheck the &#8220;Combine Interact &amp; Basic Skill&#8221; option, as this is usually what causes the most issues</li>

<p>After this, it is up to you and your personal feeling where you want to bind your keys. Personally, I switched the interaction on the <strong>right arrow,</strong> and I put the mount instead on the Left Stick (L3). It needs some getting used to, but it works. Mount is actually accessible much faster like this as well.</p>



<p>In the Reddit thread we mentioned before, players also gave their own solutions, so here are some other examples on how you can change your key bindings:</p>



<ul>
<li>Remap &#8220;Interact&#8221; to R3 (right stick press): 
<ul>
<li>Similar to my own fix, but other stick. It avoids unintentional skills triggering when trying to open doors or loot. Just be careful when you re-map, as it is often already bound to something else, so make sure you don&#8217;t have an empty slot afterward. I left the Auto-Move empty on purpose because I never use it.</li>
</ul>
</li>



<li>Move Town Portal to the Emote Wheel: 
<ul>
<li>This also frees up a D-pad direction for something else, like a skill you do not need to trigger often, or the mount or something like that. I would recommend keeping the Basic Skill on X/A, and move the interaction to the D-pad. Moving an actual skill to the D-pad is not the greatest.</li>
</ul>
</li>



<li>Use a Basic skill with no cooldown if you really want to keep it on the same button, but this is not always ideal for performance.</li>
</ul>



<p>While it might not be perfect, a bit of remapping does the trick for now!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What Should Blizzard Change With Controllers</h2>



<p>Players used the topic to once again go over all the things that do not work with Controller. It is nice to have access to the game on consoles, or be able to use a controller on PC if you want to, but it does make things more complicated for players in a lot of situations.</p>



<p>The problem that came up the most was the complaint console players have since the launch of the game. And that is the inability to simply scroll through items on the ground to only pick up what you want. </p>



<p>In other similar games, you can use the left joystick or the D-pad to scroll through your dropped loot. This allows you to go on the one item you want, to pick it up. But in Diablo 4, you have to pick up everything until you make it to your one item you wanted. This forces you to pick up unwanted loot and clutter your inventory for nothing. </p>



<p>Players are hoping the option gets added with the upcoming major changes planned for the game!</p>


Diablo 4 Tips on How to Fix Clunky Controller Layout


<p>With <a href="http://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4</a> <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Season 9</a> starting to go down in numbers of players right now, many were hoping for a little update soon of what is coming next! Especially after all the teasing from content creators. </p>



<p>However, Adam Fletcher, Diablo&#8217;s Director of Social &amp; Content Marketing, recently confirmed there is &#8220;<em>nothing to share yet</em>&#8221; until the Season 10 PTR or even Season 10 launch. And that is only expected sometime in September 2025.</p>

<p>That statement might have ruined any hopes players had the last few weeks. But it has also raised new questions, especially with Gamescom 2025 right around the corner.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Could Gamescom Still Deliver Something?</h2>



<p>Despite Fletcher&#8217;s post that makes it sound like there will really be nothing any time soon, everyone is wondering if Gamescom could still offer something, even a trailer or such. Anything Season 10 related will most likely not happen, but Blizzard could use the global stage to:</p>



<ul>
<li>Announce the next Campfire Chat date</li>



<li>Drop a new teaser for some core system reworks that they apparently shared only with content creators</li>



<li>Reveal some new collaborations</li>



<li>Share a new roadmap</li>



<li>Reveal the next expansion</li>
</ul>



<p>After all, Fletcher&#8217;s message does contradict the latest hype post he made just a few weeks prior, that hinted at bigger things. This feels like a complete shift in tone, and it is not making players happy at all.</p>



<p>Some players answered Adam&#8217;s post, saying: &#8220;<em>Just like all those super exciting things you &#8220;can&#8217;t wait to share with us&#8221; while you constantly churn out the same seasonal content over and over.</em>..&#8221;</p>



<p>The statement of them having nothing to share until Season 10 makes a lot of players feel like they have been fooled, once again. But the hope remains at Gamescom being able to deliver. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Road So Far And What Is Missing</h2>



<p>Season 9 introduced <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/horadric-spells-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Horadric Spellcraft</a> and <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/nightmare-dungeon-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Escalating Nightmares</a>, and those are good improvements to the current endgame. But there is still a big lack of meaningful changes or new content systems, and it makes the community feel underwhelmed. Let&#8217;s not even talk about the current class balance. </p>



<p>With the next expansion not arriving until 2026 most likely, and no new major content planned for 2025, there is growing concern that Diablo 4&#8217;s seasonal updates are not enough anymore to keep players entertained in the long run. </p>



<p>Blizzard had a roadmap teasing exciting plans like leaderboards, new systems, rankings, and more, but none of these have resurfaced in any recent update or dev talk.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Will Season 10 Be the Turning Point?</h2>



<p>Some players are hoping that the silence might simply be Blizzard playing it safe. Maybe they are just holding back until Season 10 is ready. But the mixed messaging has everyone worried. </p>



<p>Maybe we get something at Gamescom. It would be Blizzard&#8217;s best chance to rebuild hype for Season 10, and reassure players that Diablo 4 still has surprises left to come. </p>
