End of Nightmare Dungeon Rewards Missing Issue Resolved


<p>Some of <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4</a> <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Season 9</a>&#8216;s <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/latest-season-journey-for-diablo-4" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Seasonal Journey</a> challenges are a bit of a pain to complete this time, and not very clear with instructions. Especially the ones asking you to deactivate enemy affixes with infusions or to complete specific objectives in <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/nightmare-dungeon-guide">Escalating Nightm</a><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/nightmare-dungeon-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">a</a><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/nightmare-dungeon-guide">res</a>. </p>



<p>A lot of new players are asking for advices on Reddit, on how to complete those objectives fast, and players in the comments have shared their best tips!</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to Complete the Infusion Affix Cancelling Challenge</h2>



<p>This quest asks you to cancel out enemy affixes using the right infusion power (from the Season 9 <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/horadric-spells-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Horadric powers</a>), and here is how it works:</p>



<ul>
<li>Equip one of the seasonal <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/horadric-spells-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Horadric Infusions</a> from your inventory&#8217;s seasonal tab.</li>



<li>Head into content with plenty of elite enemies like Nightmare Dungeons or The Pit.</li>



<li>Look for elites that have specific affixes (like Vampiric, Volcanic, etc.) and attack them while your infusion is active.</li>



<li>The infusion must be upgraded to at least Rank 5 to trigger the affix cancel.</li>



<li>Swap to a different infusion after completing one. </li>



<li>Keep checking progress between runs, it is a bit random, not going to lie&#8230;</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to Open Grand Horadric Caches</h2>



<p>Another seasonal quest is causing issues, and it is the &#8220;Night Terrors&#8221; one. This quest asks you to open Grand Horadric Caches in <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/horadric-strongrooms" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Strongrooms</a> during <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/nightmare-dungeon-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Escalating Nightmares</a>, and to complete local Events with Mastery in Escalating Nightmares.</p>



<p>Here is how it works:</p>



<ul>
<li>Escalating Nightmare Dungeons are those activated using Legendary-quality (orange) Nightmare Sigils. You can find those in Horadric Strongrooms inside other normal Nightmare Dungeons.</li>



<li>Use the sigil from your Consumables tab to start an Escalating run.</li>



<li>Find a Strongroom.</li>



<li>At the end of the Strongroom, you will be rewarded with a Grand Horadric Cache. Open it to completes the &#8220;Open Grand Horadric Caches found in Horadric Strongrooms during Escalating Nightmares&#8221;.</li>



<li>The second part asks you to complete random events inside Escalating Dungeons (for example, saving villagers, activating pillars, etc.). These are fully RNG-based, so expect to run a few dungeons before completing it. You need 5 of them.</li>



<li>If you run out of Escalating Sigils, party up with other players. You can join their dungeon even if you do not have one of your own.</li>



<li>You can run through the dungeons on lower Torment Tier to make it faster. You do not need to do that in T4 if your goal is just to complete the achievements.</li>
</ul>

How to Complete Diablo 4 Escalating Nightmares Season Journey


<p>After a short problem due to the <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-iv-march-of-the-goblins-event-issues" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">bugged reputation statue</a> in Kyovashad, Blizzard released a <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/march-of-the-goblins-hotfix-statue-bug-solved" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">hotfix</a> for <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4</a> last night! The March of the Goblins event is now fully live and working as intended. </p>



<p>The statue bug was preventing players from turning in the Goblin reputation, but that is now resolved, and the goblin grind is officially back on.</p>



<p>You have until August 5 to go on the hunt for as many Treasure Goblins as you can, and get as many rewards as possible! However, it is not like those little Goblins are actually showing up on your map right away. If you do not know where to look, you might run past a dozen of those without even seeing them!</p>



<p>A recent Reddit thread came up, where players went over their little tips and tricks on the best ways to farm this event, and there are actually quite a lot you can do to be more efficient. We gathered the best tips here for you!</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Best Way to Farm March of the Goblins</h2>

<li>Use your mount and map
<ul>
<li>Instead of running around like a headless chicken, ride for a few seconds accross a small zone, and then open your map. Goblins will show up as icons on it right after, making them easier to spot. All you have to do then is go hunt!</li>
</ul>
</li>



<li>Farm PvP zones
<ul>
<li>It seems that goblins are spawning a ton in PvP areas. If you are scared that you will get killed by random players in the PvP zone, you can turn off crossplay. This will reduce the amount of players in your zone, and let you farm safely.</li>
</ul>
</li>



<li>Look for Greed Shrines and <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/nightmare-dungeon-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nightmare Dungeon</a> affixes
<ul>
<li>Greed Shrines (especially in <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/helltide-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Helltides</a> and Gold Reserve Ninghtmare Dungeons) heavily increase Goblin spawns. </li>



<li>Some Nightmare Dungeon affixes like Treasure Breach can spawn 30+ goblins in one run!</li>
</ul>
</li>



<li>Swap your <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/mercenaries-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">mercenary</a>
<ul>
<li>Using Subo as your merc boosts movement speed and can help detect goblins more easily.</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>



<p>With the statue issue resolved, it is the perfect time to play Diablo 4 again, and start hunting for the Gobbies! </p>



<p>As for the rewards, this will depend on the type of Goblin you encounter, as each color gives you something else.</p>

Best Way to Farm March of the Goblins in Diablo IV!


<p>In a <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-iv-march-of-the-goblins-event-issues">recent post made today</a>, players experienced a bug in the March of the Goblins. Initially, this bug prevented the statue from spawning in Kyovashad, but thankfully, the issue has now been fixed.</p>

March of the Goblins Hotfix: Statue Bug Solved


<p>If you wanted to play <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4</a> today for the March of the Goblins event and found nothing, you are not alone! It turns out there is a small issue with this event, and the statue that is supposed to be located in Kyovashad did not spawn!</p>



<p>Blizzard has just acknowledged the bug, and is currently investigating it:</p>

Diablo IV March of the Goblins Event Issues!


<p>If you have recently picked up <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4</a> on console, especially since the game is currently available on the PlayStation Plus subscription, you may have found out that the controller inputs are not always the greatest. You often get stuck unable to loot a chest or fight your way through an obstacle because your skill on the X/A button is also used to interact, and for Diablo 4, the two often overlap. </p>



<p>A recent Reddit thread went over the common frustration among a lot of console players! The default controller mapping is definitely not the greatest. Having the same button for both your basic skill and core actions like interacting, opening doors, or looting, means that if the skill is on cooldown, you can not do anything, even break barrels or pick up drops.</p>

<p>Thankfully, there are a few solutions to work around this issue. You do have access to keybind settings, which means you can change what button does what. And you have to basically make sure that your interaction button is alone and is not bound to any other action.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to Change Your Keybinds</h2>



<p>In order to change your controller key bindings, you need to:</p>



<ul>
<li>Open your in-game settings</li>



<li>Head to the &#8220;controls&#8221; tab</li>



<li>Click on &#8220;controller&#8221;</li>



<li>From here you can re-bind everything (or almost everything)</li>



<li>First, you want to uncheck the &#8220;Combine Interact &amp; Basic Skill&#8221; option, as this is usually what causes the most issues</li>
</ul>

<p>After this, it is up to you and your personal feeling where you want to bind your keys. Personally, I switched the interaction on the <strong>right arrow,</strong> and I put the mount instead on the Left Stick (L3). It needs some getting used to, but it works. Mount is actually accessible much faster like this as well.</p>



<p>In the Reddit thread we mentioned before, players also gave their own solutions, so here are some other examples on how you can change your key bindings:</p>



<ul>
<li>Remap &#8220;Interact&#8221; to R3 (right stick press): 
<ul>
<li>Similar to my own fix, but other stick. It avoids unintentional skills triggering when trying to open doors or loot. Just be careful when you re-map, as it is often already bound to something else, so make sure you don&#8217;t have an empty slot afterward. I left the Auto-Move empty on purpose because I never use it.</li>
</ul>
</li>



<li>Move Town Portal to the Emote Wheel: 
<ul>
<li>This also frees up a D-pad direction for something else, like a skill you do not need to trigger often, or the mount or something like that. I would recommend keeping the Basic Skill on X/A, and move the interaction to the D-pad. Moving an actual skill to the D-pad is not the greatest.</li>
</ul>
</li>



<li>Use a Basic skill with no cooldown if you really want to keep it on the same button, but this is not always ideal for performance.</li>
</ul>



<p>While it might not be perfect, a bit of remapping does the trick for now!</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What Should Blizzard Change With Controllers</h2>



<p>Players used the topic to once again go over all the things that do not work with Controller. It is nice to have access to the game on consoles, or be able to use a controller on PC if you want to, but it does make things more complicated for players in a lot of situations.</p>



<p>The problem that came up the most was the complaint console players have since the launch of the game. And that is the inability to simply scroll through items on the ground to only pick up what you want. </p>



<p>In other similar games, you can use the left joystick or the D-pad to scroll through your dropped loot. This allows you to go on the one item you want, to pick it up. But in Diablo 4, you have to pick up everything until you make it to your one item you wanted. This forces you to pick up unwanted loot and clutter your inventory for nothing. </p>



<p>Players are hoping the option gets added with the upcoming major changes planned for the game!</p>


Diablo 4 Tips on How to Fix Clunky Controller Layout


<p>With <a href="http://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4</a> <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Season 9</a> starting to go down in numbers of players right now, many were hoping for a little update soon of what is coming next! Especially after all the teasing from content creators. </p>



<p>However, Adam Fletcher, Diablo&#8217;s Director of Social &amp; Content Marketing, recently confirmed there is &#8220;<em>nothing to share yet</em>&#8221; until the Season 10 PTR or even Season 10 launch. And that is only expected sometime in September 2025.</p>

<p>That statement might have ruined any hopes players had the last few weeks. But it has also raised new questions, especially with Gamescom 2025 right around the corner.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Could Gamescom Still Deliver Something?</h2>



<p>Despite Fletcher&#8217;s post that makes it sound like there will really be nothing any time soon, everyone is wondering if Gamescom could still offer something, even a trailer or such. Anything Season 10 related will most likely not happen, but Blizzard could use the global stage to:</p>



<ul>
<li>Announce the next Campfire Chat date</li>



<li>Drop a new teaser for some core system reworks that they apparently shared only with content creators</li>



<li>Reveal some new collaborations</li>



<li>Share a new roadmap</li>



<li>Reveal the next expansion</li>
</ul>



<p>After all, Fletcher&#8217;s message does contradict the latest hype post he made just a few weeks prior, that hinted at bigger things. This feels like a complete shift in tone, and it is not making players happy at all.</p>



<p>Some players answered Adam&#8217;s post, saying: &#8220;<em>Just like all those super exciting things you &#8220;can&#8217;t wait to share with us&#8221; while you constantly churn out the same seasonal content over and over.</em>..&#8221;</p>



<p>The statement of them having nothing to share until Season 10 makes a lot of players feel like they have been fooled, once again. But the hope remains at Gamescom being able to deliver. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Road So Far And What Is Missing</h2>



<p>Season 9 introduced <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/horadric-spells-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Horadric Spellcraft</a> and <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/nightmare-dungeon-guide" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Escalating Nightmares</a>, and those are good improvements to the current endgame. But there is still a big lack of meaningful changes or new content systems, and it makes the community feel underwhelmed. Let&#8217;s not even talk about the current class balance. </p>



<p>With the next expansion not arriving until 2026 most likely, and no new major content planned for 2025, there is growing concern that Diablo 4&#8217;s seasonal updates are not enough anymore to keep players entertained in the long run. </p>



<p>Blizzard had a roadmap teasing exciting plans like leaderboards, new systems, rankings, and more, but none of these have resurfaced in any recent update or dev talk.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Will Season 10 Be the Turning Point?</h2>



<p>Some players are hoping that the silence might simply be Blizzard playing it safe. Maybe they are just holding back until Season 10 is ready. But the mixed messaging has everyone worried. </p>



<p>Maybe we get something at Gamescom. It would be Blizzard&#8217;s best chance to rebuild hype for Season 10, and reassure players that Diablo 4 still has surprises left to come. </p>

Bad News for Diablo 4 – Dev Says Nothing to Share Yet!


<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Item Dupes Are Crashing the Economy</h2>



<p><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4">Diablo 4</a> has recently been hit with a massive issue affecting its in-game economy. Players have discovered methods to hoard or even duplicate Runes, <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-iv-bosses-loot-tables-how-does-it-work">Boss materials</a>, and more, seriously damaging the game&#8217;s economy.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why the Trade Market Is Collapsing</h2>



<p>Diablo 4&#8217;s in-game economy is in shambles due to rampant item duplication, which has flooded the trade market! This is causing gold prices to skyrocket and drastically shifting the value of offers and trades. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Players Sound the Alarm</h2>



<p>While some argue this issue has persisted for at least <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season">two seasons</a>, it&#8217;s recently gained traction on <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-player-crafts-one-of-the-luckiest-grandfathers-ever">Reddit</a>.</p>

Nevertheless, this problem needs to be addressed as soon as possible. It casts a shadow over every future Diablo 4 season, knowing the trading market is broken and honest traders risk getting scammed. Until the developers resolve this issue, we recommend steering clear of trading unless you&#8217;re willing to pay heavily inflated prices.</p>


Diablo 4’s Trade Market Is Imploding — And Dupers Are to Blame

However, Season 9 has surprisingly turned out to be <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/diablo-4-climbs-steam-deck-charts-after-rocky-season-9-launch">one of the better seasons</a>, despite early predictions.</p>



<p>That said, Season 9 still has its problems. <span style="margin: 0px;padding: 0px">Some players,</span> including YouTuber <a href="https://www.youtube.com/@Rob2628">Rob2628</a>, have said the seasonal questline felt annoying and inconvenient. </p>



<p>Putting the story aside, players dislike having to travel all over the map in order to complete the seasonal questline, and much prefer Season 4 or 8&#8217;s approach.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/what-are-escalating-nightmares-quick-guide-for-season-9/">Escalating Nightmares</a> and <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/horadric-strongrooms/">Horadric Strongrooms</a> are fun and offer valuable rewards, but they lose challenge in the very late game. This is because Legendary Escalation Sigils hard to find and only scale across three tiers. Players consider the changes to Nightmare Dungeons fun and a big success.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class Balancing</h2>



<p>Once again, despite early concerns about the state of class balance during the PTR phase, Season 9 has successfully shaken up the meta. <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/endgame-tier-list">New popular and strong builds</a> have emerged, such as <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/hydra-sorcerer-build">Hydra Sorcerer</a>, <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/poison-thorns-spiritborn-build-for-diablo-4">Poison Thorns Spiritborn</a>, &amp; <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/shifter-pulverize-druid-build">Pulverize Druid</a>. </p>



<p>Yet, the overcall class balance isn&#8217;t perfect, Rogue is clearly the weakest class this season and needs some major buffs.</p>

<p>While it&#8217;s nice to see the meta shift every season, the constant nerfs between seasons are becoming frustrating and exhausting. This was especially true with the recent <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/news/overpower-is-getting-a-massive-nerf-in-diablo-4-season-9">Overpower nerfs</a>.</p>



<p>Despite all this, the top-performing classes still have multiple builds that can push endgame effectively this season. So, if you&#8217;re tired of playing <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/bash-barbarian-build">Basic Cleave Barbarian</a>, you can try <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/mighty-throw-barbarian-build">Mighty Throw</a>, or if <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/blood-wave-necromancer-build">Blood Wave Necromancer</a> isn&#8217;t for you, try <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/blight-shadowmancer-necromancer-build">Shadow Blight</a>.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Pit Changes</h2>



<p><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/the-pit-of-the-artificers-guide/">The Pit</a> did receive some changes during Season 9, but were they good? The Pit&#8217;s overall difficulty was slightly lowered this season, making it easier to reach Tier 100. </p>



<p>While that&#8217;s a welcome change, easier climbs should come with better rewards beyond Tier 100. A simple, but major improvement would be increasing the Mythic drop rate for players clearing beyond Tier 100.</p>

Why Diablo 4 Season 9 Feels Better Than Expected


<p>The loot in <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4">Diablo 4</a> has always been a problem. Not only because of the lack of good loot, but also because of the screen clutter that keeps increasing. But with that flood of gear on your screen, comes the old recurrent question: where is our loot filter, Blizzard? </p>



<p>It is a debate that has been going on since launch, and now, as season go and loot keeps piling up on our screens, the community is asking louder than ever: is it time yet?</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">It Is a Mess Out Here</h2>



<p><a href="https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/d4/t/loot-filter-needed-now/219400">Forum threads</a> and social posts are once again flooded (just like our inventories) with requests for a proper loot filter. After <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/diablo-4-latest-season" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">9 seasons</a>, players are sick of having to pick up everything and anything, and loose a good hour sorting their stashes and inventory afterward, hoping to have gotten one or two items that they can use for their builds! Loot filters would allow those who want, to directly sort the loot before it gets picked up. </p>



<p>Players are currently annoyed at:</p>



<ul>
<li>Too much junk. 99% of drops are still vendor trash, and it is a loss of time.</li>



<li>Piles of gear on the ground make it hard to see. It is even worse if you play with a controller, as you can not choose what you pick up, you have to pick up literally everything that is on the ground.</li>



<li>Inventory is constantly full, you always have to TP back and forth to empty.</li>



<li>New seasons often add even more loot, and sure that sounds great. But only until you are stuck with even more loot on your screen and inventory.</li>



<li>Some players say they cut sessions short just to avoid the tedious grind of sorting bad gear.</li>
</ul>



<p>Many are asking for features like:</p>



<ul>
<li>A customizable loot threshold, to auto-salvage or auto-sell below a certain quality.</li>



<li>Affix filters or highlights, to spot the stats that we need more easily.</li>



<li>Gear that passes filters could go directly to a dedicated stash tab.</li>



<li>Some even suggest giving pets the ability to auto-salvage filtered gear.</li>



<li>Make pets pick up automatically filtered loot</li>



<li>Ability to filter gear type and stats (such as Wands only, or specific resource stats etc)</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What Are Devs Saying?</h2>



<p>The loot filter conversation is not new, and Blizzard knows about it, and has responded before. In a <a href="https://youtu.be/OsevOo1XRcg?si=NbKEt4ROHUH3Mhvp" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Q&amp;A earlier this year</a>, Diablo 4 dev Aislyn Hall explained the current goal around Loot Filters: &#8220;We want you to essentially utilize all the parts of the animal.&#8221;</p>



<p>In other words, this means that for them, every item has value even if you are just salvaging it. They worry that a loot filter would lead players to ignore too much and could disrupt how the in-game economy functions. A lot of players think that this statement makes currently no more sense, as we anyway do not pick up everything anymore. </p>



<p>Since the addition of Greater Affixes, a ton of players, once they reached endgame and have really good gear already, they will just not pick up anything anymore, unless it is a Greater Affixe, unique, or mythic item. </p>



<p>That said, the idea is not off the table entirely. Hall also clarified that they will not say &#8220;never&#8221; to a loot filter, and anything can always still happen. </p>



<p>Basically, it is not for now, but maybe one day. Since they plan on reworking the game, and have already announced that big changes are coming soon, maybe loot filters are actually part of those changes! Only the future will tell, so stay tuned!</p>


Is It Finally Time for Loot Filters in Diablo IV?


<p><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diablo 4</a>&#8216;s future expansion is technically not that far away anymore! As season pass, the community is already heads deep into trying to figure out what the next class could be! </p>



<p>Over on Reddit, a ton of players have started to share what class they would want to see next, and there are a few really cool ideas in there! And also a few good, funny memes. Some options seem very unlikely to happen, but they are definitely worth mentioning! And who knows, it may not be for the next expansion, but there will be more afterward, so you never know what can happen!</p>



<p>We gathered some ideas from the following Reddit thread, in case Blizzard needs hints on what class to go for next:</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Who We Would Want to Get, but Will Most Likely Not Be Next</h2>



<p>Here are the few candidates that were mentioned multiple times, but that most people think will probably not happen. At least not soon!</p>

<li>Witch Doctor:

<li>Most agree this would be too similar to <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/necromancer/builds" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Necromancer</a>, <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/druid/builds" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Druid</a>, and even <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/spiritborn/builds" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Spiritborn</a> class. Although, some noted that you can not turn into a chicken yet.</li>
</ul>
</li>



<li>Monk: 
<ul>
<li><a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/spiritborn/builds" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Spiritborn</a> already also seems to cover the ground for Monk. It would not really bring anything new.</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>



<p>Of course, the door is always open, and this does not mean we would never get those classes, but for the time being it seems unlikely. Current classes already cover a ton of features that Witch Doctor or Monk would have.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What Could Be the Class?</h2>



<p>The most popular theory is of course the Paladin, Templar, Crusader-type class. Some would want your typical healing/shielder Paladin, while others want some unique and original class that can mix and match two different things! The biggest reason players want a Knight type of class, is because it would finally add proper support, such as an actual class that is viable in group play, can heal and shield party-members.</p>

<li>Holy and Shadow magic mix, that would be inspired by the Shadow Priest from <a href="https://www.icy-veins.com/wow" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">World of Warcraft</a>.</li>
</ul>
</li>



<li>Templar:
<ul>
<li>It would fit inside the current lore. May represent the lineage of Inarius and Lilith, mixing light and dark powers.</li>
</ul>
</li>



<li>Holy Knight:
<ul>
<li>With the current state of the church in the game, Holy Knight, or Holy Paladin would also make sense. With abilities such as healing or shielding.</li>
</ul>
</li>



<li>Crusader: 
<ul>
<li>This one would again be some sort of Holy Knight type of class, but with buffs for the whole team, similar to pulling aggro or actually be a tank-like class.</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>



<p>Players are also hoping this class could support different builds, like the possibility to play it more classic Paladin-style, or on the other hand leaning into a darker, Death Knight-like spec.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Will Shields Finally Matter?</h2>



<p>One thing the thread revealed is that a lot of players did not even know shields are currently usable by some classes (like Necromancer). But this just emphasizes that players want a true shield-focused class. Something that makes really use of the 1H + Shield, and that is not just cosmetic.</p>

<li>Unique class mechanics tied to the use of Shields</li>



<li>Uniques and Mythic shields as loot</li>



<li>Support or tank builds that actually pull aggro and buff the squad more, or can heal and shield</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Expansion-Only Release?</h2>



<p>Most of the community agrees that the next class will sadly not drop as a free update. Based on Diablo history, Blizzard is likely saving it for the next paid expansion. </p>



<p>Still, some are holding out hope for a surprise free class, but expectations are low. A lot of players would love it if something like a new class would be accessible to everyone, and not a paid DLC. A lot still did not have the possibility to try out Spiritborn, especially with the current price of things.</p>



<p>One thing is sure, players are still hyped to see what will come next, and maybe Blizzard will surprise everyone with another completely new class!</p>
